Yokosawa Eliminated, But Will Return

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Masato Yokosawa
Masato Yokosawa

Masato Yokosawa was short-stacked and all in preflop versus Patrick Bechard and 2013 EPT Deauville Main Event Champion Remi Castaignon.

With action on the river for a side pot with the board reading {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs}, Castaignon checked to Bechard, who bet 10,000. Castaignon called for most of his remaining stack.

Bechard showed {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a winning top two pair. Castaignon showed a losing {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}, while Yokosawa showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} to eliminate him from the flight, but the GPI award-winning Poker Personality of the Year says he'll be entering tonight's flight B.

Targa Flushes to Bust Arcas

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Hearts} on the board, Petr Targa shoved and Felipe Arcas called with less.

Targa turned over {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for the ace-high flush. Arcas flashed what may have been {8-Spades}{7-Spades} and tossed the losing hand in the muck before wishing the table luck and making his way for the door.

Eugenio Peralta raised to 2,000 from middle position and the player in the big blind called.

The flop was {2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Peralta continued for 1,600. The big blind called and the turn was {9-Spades}.

Peralta fired 3,000 and his opponent went into the tank before asking how much he had left. Peralta counted out nearly 7,500.

After a few moments, the big blind tossed his hand in the muck and Peralta took the pot.

Yokosawa Getting Short

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Masato Yokosawa
Masato Yokosawa

Masato Yokosawa was among four players to commit 1,300 before the flop in a recent hand.

The players all checked the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop, but on the {a-Spades} turn, Mohamed Madani bet 1,700 from the big blind. Only Yokosawa called in late position, and the duo saw a {5-Clubs} on the river.

Madani led again for 4,600 and Yokosawa flicked in a chip to call. He was delivered the grim news of a flopped straight for Madani, who held the {j-Spades}{10-Spades}.
