Tounnouti Applies Pressure

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Maarten Wichgers raised to 16,000 from middle position and Mourad Tounnouti three-bet to 46,000. Wichgers called and the flop was {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

Wichgers checked and tossed his hand in the muck when Tounnouti bet 42,000. Tounnouti wins the early pot with pressure to cross 500K. Wichgers is chipping up in his own right, up to over 250K after starting the day with just a few big blinds.

No Bust Outs in Three-Way All-In

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tamer Ibrahim opened on the button to 21,000 before Martin Bartos jammed for 133,000 in the small blind. Ville Jantunen put in the last of his chips from the big blind and Ibrahim called to set up a three-way all-in.

Ville Jantunen: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Martin Bartos: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Tamer Ibrahim: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Jantunen was almost certain for a triple-up after the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop,however he would need to dodge the straight draw that Ibrahim had. The {9-Diamonds} wasn't a great card for Bartos but the {4-Hearts} river also ensured his tournament life. Jantunen would be the big winnner, Bartos chipped down slightly and Ibrahim took a dent in his big stack.

Paalanen Busts Pecheux to Move Among Leaders

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With 70,000 in the pot and {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} on the board, Erwann Pecheux bet 95,000 from early position. Akseli Paalanen shoved with and Pecheux snap-called.

Pecheux turned over {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} with his tournament life at risk, but Paalanen showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. A {k-Clubs} on the river was unnecessary punishment for Pecheux as he gathered his things and made his way to the rail.

Soussan Survives

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Yves Soussan jammed for 69,000 from the hijack and was quickly called by Cihan Bicik in the big blind.

Yves Soussan: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Cihan Bicik: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Bicik added some straight outs to go with his over cards after the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. The {8-Diamonds} turn changed nothing and the {2-Spades} river confirmed Soussan's survival.

Huge Three-Way Pot Sees Kyte's Stack Fly

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

A massive pile of chips was separated in the middle of a three-way pot, with them soon finding their way to Jon Kyte and Eros Calderone.

Kyte raised to 17,000 under the gun, and was called by Eros Calderone to his left, and Julien Galendo in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} and action was checked to Kyte who continued for 28,000.

Then things got fun.

Calderone raised to 100,000, but even that wasn't enough for Galendo, who check-raised both his opponents to 300,000.

Kyte then jammed for approximately 500,000, Calderone called for less and Galendo called for his tournament life as well.

Julien Galendo: {a-Spades}{5-Spades}
Eros Calderone: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Jon Kyte: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

Calderone was ahead with two pair, but would have to fade a pair of flush draws.

The {2-Diamonds} and {2-Clubs} fell on the turn and river, awarding the pots to Calderone with his two pair and Kyte with his pair of queens.
