Stokkan Sets the Price

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Preben Stokkan opened to 4,000 in early position and Radek Jantos re-raised to 14,000 on his left. The action folded back to Stokkan who peeled off the flop of {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Stokkan checked to Jantos who continued with a bet of 8,500 and Stokkan called. The turn brought the {8-Spades} and Stokkan led out with a bet of 9,000 which Jantos just called.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and both players quickly checked. Stokkan flipped over {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Jantos was forced to concede the pot.

Samuelsson Sent to the Rail

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The cards of Andreas Samuelsson were already in the muck while the pot was pushed to Tossapat Chunharas. For the Thai player, {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} was good enough to score the knockout on a board of {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs} as Samuelsson was on his way to the rail.

Smolka Drops Below the Average

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With some 30,000 in the middle to the {q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{a-Spades} river, Eitan Cohen made it 19,000 to go. Dawid Smolka then raised to 60,000 only to see Cohen tank for a bit and then jam for more than 100,000. Smolka mulled it over for a bit and elected to fold.

Lofberg Busts Kim and Earns a Small Boost

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Seungyeol Kim got his short stack in with the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} only to find himself dominated by his table neighbour and big stack Simon Lofberg.

Seungyeol Kim: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Simon Lofberg: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Neither player connected with the {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board and the kicker played to send Kim to the rail, who briefly recorded the action on his phone before exiting the tournament area.

Cowen Coolers Hu Out the Door

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Robert Cowen
Robert Cowen

Simeon Spasov opened for 4,000 from early position and picked up two callers, David Hu in the cutoff and big-stacked Robert Cowen in the big blind.

The flop showed up {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Cowen checked, as did the preflop raiser Simeon Spasov. In position, David Hu bet 5,500. Both Cowen and Spasov made the call to head three ways to a turn.

The next card came the {3-Spades}. Cowen chose to lead for 7,500. Spasov folded, but Hu made the call.

The river fell the {6-Hearts}. Cowen led by moving all in, 51,000 effective in Hu's stack. Hu gave it some thought, but in the end couldn't fold his hand.

Cowen showed {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} for the flopped full house, better than the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} trips Hu held, so Hu was eliminated.
