Lhuillier Out-Kicks Ju's Top Pair, Scores Big Elimination

Level 14 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Samuel Ju called from the hijack and Jean Lhuillier raised to 9,000 from the button. Ju called.

The flop came {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Ju checked to Lhuillier, who bet 12,500. Ju then min-raised to 25,000. After asking to see his opponent's chips and deliberating for about 60 seconds, Lhuillier shoved all in and Ju snapped him off.

Samuel Ju: {8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Jean Lhuillier: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Lhuillier had the best of it as both players opted to play for a pot of over 200,000 chips with a pair of eights.

The {q-Diamonds} turn was no help to Ju and the {3-Clubs} had him tapping the table and saying "good game" as Lhuillier would take his time counting his newly-acquired stack worth nearly a quarter of a million.

Lessa Eliminates Szymanski

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Mateusz Piotr Szymanski open-shoved his remaining 17,000 from early position and Henrique Calheiros Quintella Lessa shoved from the small blind.

Mateusz Piotr Szymanski: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Henrique Calheiros Quintella Lessa: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Lessa was dominating his Polish foe but the {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop suddenly gave Szymanski 49% equity.

The {a-Spades} turn also gave Szymanski chop outs in addition to sixes and clubs.

However, the {2-Hearts} came on the river and Lessa would enjoy the new addition to his chip stack.

Kortas Scores Elimination with Pocket Aces

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Michel Pattani shoved his final 33,000 from middle position and Ghattas Kortas called from the cutoff.

Michel Pattani: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Ghattas Kortas: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

It was disaster for Pattani as he ran his ace-queen into Kortas' pocket aces.

The {10-}{4-}{3-} flop was little help but the {k-} turn had Pattani live and hoping for a jack.

However, the river was the {10-} and Pattani was eliminated.
