Wojtkowiak Scores Elimination, Soars Over 230,000

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

William Leonardo Barbosa shoved all in for 21,600 from under the gun and Michal Wojtkowiak called from the hijack.

William Leonardo Barbosa: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Michal Wojtkowiak: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

In a classic flip, Barbosa had two overs against Wojtkowiak's pocket tens. However, the board ran out {2-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Barbosa's Day 1b run was over, while Wojtkowiak grew his stack to over 230,000.

Smilingis Out-Kicks Navarro, Doubles Up

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With about 27,000 in the middle on a {5-}{k-}{3-}{q-} board, Justinas Smilingis shoved all in for 26,100 total.

Juan Pablo Navarro, in the small blind, called it off and was met with bad news.

Justinas Smilingis: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Juan Pablo Navarro: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Navarro was in bad shape and would need to hit a three-outer to eliminate the Lithuanian.

However, the river was a second {q-} and Smilingis earned the full double, knocking Navarro down to just over 100,000 in chips.

Hardcastle Takes Down the Biggest Pot of the Flight

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Jack Hardcastle
Jack Hardcastle

With around 55,000 in the middle on a {3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts} board, Jack Hardcastle, from the big blind, ripped his stack all in for a total of 124,200, well over double the size of the pot.

Balazs Somodi, from under the gun, deliberated for roughly 30-to-45 seconds before calling off his final 117,200, which in itself was over one-and-a-half times the size of the average stack in the room.

Hardcastle turned over {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, having flopped the nut straight, and taking his stack to nearly 300,000.

Somodi, meanwhile, went from one of the bigger stacks in the room to suddenly out of the tournament.

Bonnant Scores Double Knockout with Pocket Aces

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Dennys Luis Ramos moved all in for his last 15,800 from early position and Yuija Han called from middle position. Clement Bonnant three-bet to 55,000, which was a virtual shove. Action folded around to Han, who called off for most of his chips, with Bonnant covering him.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Spades} and Han went all in for around 15,000 more and Bonnant flicked in a single chip, signifying a call.

Dennys Luis Ramos: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Yuija Han: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Clement Bonnant: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Bonnant was way ahead of the pack, though Ramos had additional straight outs for a potential triple-up.

Bonnant would have to dodge nines, sixes, and backdoor spades but the {j-Spades} had Han suddenly in line for an unlikely flush.

However, the {j-Hearts} on the river gave Bonnant the huge pot and eliminated his two opponents.

Pyzara Continues Stellar Start

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Kacper Pyzara
Kacper Pyzara

Kacper Pyzara opened to 3,000 from under the gun and Feroz Ahmadi called from the button. Gaelle Baumann also called from the big blind.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} and Pyzara continued for 3,500. Ahmadi flatted and Baumann got out of the way.

On the {j-Diamonds} river, Pyzara thought for about 30 seconds before asking Ahmadi how much he was playing with. After showing his stack of 20,900 chips, Pyzara put in his stack of blues, putting Ahmadi all in.

It didn't take long for Ahmadi to lay his hand down and Pyzara took himself over the 100,000-chip mark.
