Kasian Wakes Up With Aces

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Yacine Chalal moved all in for 6,600 from middle position and was called by Oleksandr Kasian on the button.

Yacine Chalal: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Oleksandr Kasian: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

A few laughs came from the table when Kasian showed his two aces. The flop came {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Chalal was already standing up and walking away from the table.

Kasian improved to a set on the {a-Diamonds} turn and the meaningless river was the {10-Spades} as the Ukrainian scored the knockout.

Nobody Has a Spade

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Benjamin Chatelain bet 5,000 on a flop of {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and was called by Boyan Asenov to his immediate right.

Both players checked the {9-Spades} turn as the {q-Spades} fell on the river. Asenov this time led out for 2,000.

Chatelain gave the decision some thought before calling. Asenov turned over {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair which was good enough on the board with four spades.

After the hand, Chatelain gathered his backpack and left the room even though he still had chips remaining.

Lupoli Chipping Up

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Lucas Monnier opened to 500 from middle position and action folded round to Vincenzo Lupoli, in the cutoff, who carved out a three-bet to 1,600. Monnier then threw out a 5,000 chip intending to four-bet to a total of 5,500, however, the bet stood as a call due to Monnier using a single chip and not announcing the intention.

On a flop of {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, both players checked and saw the {4-Diamonds} on the turn. With the action on Monnier, he elected to bet 1,100 and Lupoli called.

The river brought a {3-Clubs} and Monnier checked. Lupoli deliberated for a minute before sliding out a bet of 4,000 and Monnier quickly folded.

Lupoli is in fine form recently having finished 2nd place in the Pokerstars UKIPT Cup Nottingham for £14,475 for his largest of two cashes at the festival.

Zidonis Leaves Renard With Crumbs

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Moshe Eliyahu bet 2,500 from the small blind on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and was called by both Marius Zidonis in the hijack and Thibault Renard from the cutoff.

The turn came the {10-Hearts} and action checked to Renaud, who bet 5,500. Both opponents called as the {6-Clubs} fell on the river.

Eliyahu checked, and this time Zidonis opened the betting with 10,000. Renard spent a few moments with his hand on his head as he pondered the decision before moving all in. Eliyahu quickly folded, but Zidonis called for his last 22,500.

"I have a flush," Renard announced, turning over {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Zidonis, though, showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a rivered full house to double up.

All-In Shove Works for Mehamed

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Alan Mehamed and Olga Iermolcheva went heads-up to a flop of {4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} when Mehamed bet 1,500 from the button. Iermolcheva, under the gun, called to see the {5-Clubs} on the turn.

Iermolcheva checked over to Mehamed and he continued for 3,500. Iermolcheva once again called.

The river was the {6-Clubs} and Iermolcheva checked before Mehamed pushed forward his last 17,000. "Fold," Iermolcheva said as she took one last look at her hand before tossing it in the muck.

Ates Bets Big on the River

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Three-handed on a board of {k-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, Ante Cetinic bet 2,600 from early position and received calls by Ertan Ates in the cutoff and big blind Marian Dicu.

The river came the {a-Diamonds} and Dicu checked. Cetinic also checked before Ates tossed in two blue 5,000 chips for a bet of 10,000.

Dicu, with one blue chip remaining in his stack, folded. Cetinic also quickly tossed his cards in the muck as Ates took down the pot.
