Magan Takes Multi-Way Pot

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

The action folded to Charles Lascar on the button who opened for 1,300 and both Maxime Gilbert Bruneau and Luis Miguel Magan called from the blinds.

On the flop of {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Bruneau checked from the small blind and Magan continued for 1,600. Lascar got out of the way and Bruneau took a moment before releasing his hand as well, sending the pot over to Magan.

Iermolcheva Gets Her Revenge on Mehamed

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Olga Iermolcheva
Olga Iermolcheva

Alan Mehamed won a pot off Olga Iermolcheva earlier in the day with an all-in shove, but this time it didn't work out as well.

With around 13,000 in the pot on the turn with the board showing {9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, Mehamed shoved for 9,500 and Iermolcheva tanked for a moment before eventually calling.

Mehamed could only show {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} while Iermolcheva turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}. The river was the {4-Clubs} and Mehamed wished the table luck before heading for the exit.

Reard Sends Carrara Deep Into the Tank

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Alexandre Reard and Gianluca Carrara built a pot of around 20,000 heading to the river on a board of {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Carrara, from under the gun, checked over to Reard on the button and the French pro put out 18,000.

Carrara tanked for several minutes as he agonized over the decision. He slid his cards forward a few times as he looked like he was thinking about mucking before pulling them back, and then grabbed some chips off his stack and played with them before eventually throwing them in the middle.

Reard turned over {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for two pair, sixes and fours, but Carrara had {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} to win the big pot.

Tonka Doubles as De Luca Rides the Rollercoaster

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

Sergio De Luca has been involved in back-to-back hands on Table 76.

In the first hand, Mario Colavita opened to 900 from early position and was called by Sergio De Luca on his direct left. Parker Talbot was seated next to De Luca and threw in a call before it folded around to Xavier Mouysset, in the cutoff, who three-bet to 3,500. Colavita folded and both De Luca and Talbot called.

On the flop of {3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs}, all players checked and the turn came the {6-Spades}. De Luca bet 7,000 and Mouysset called.

The river was the {j-Spades} and De Luca fired another bet of 14,000. Mouysset folded and De Luca flashed {a-Spades}{5-Spades}, for the nut flush, to the table.

In the next hand, De Luca limped from early position and was met by a raise of 1,600 from Talbot in the seat to his left. Abdessamade El Mzdadi called from the cut off and De Luca also called.

All three players checked on the {2-Spades}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and the {k-Diamonds} hit the turn. De Luca checked once more and Talbot bet out 1,600. El Mzdadi got out of the way and De Luca called.

On the {5-Hearts} river, De Luca checked and Talbot overbet, firing 13,000 into a pot of 8,000 and leaving himself 200 chips behind. De Luca thought for a minute before deciding to call and mucked when Talbot showed him the {k-Spades}{5-Spades} for two pair.

Pihela Spikes the Turn to Bust Cohen

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Igor Pihela
Igor Pihela

Lucien Cohen was all in from the button for his last 8,500 on a flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades} and was up against Igor Pihela in the hijack.

Lucien Cohen: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Igor Pihela: {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Cohen was ahead of Pihela's sevens with his pocket jacks until the {7-Spades} on the turn improved Pihela to trips. Cohen shot out of his chair as the {k-Diamonds} fell on the river. The former EPT champ continued to mutter to himself as he quickly made his exit.

Benedetti Pays Off Metz

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Angelique Benedetti and Karl-Heinz Metz were heads-up on a board of {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Benedetti bet 7,500 before Metz came back with an all-in shove for 25,000.

Benedetti went into the tank for several minutes, picking up her card protector and sliding it over her cards as she pondered the decision. She eventually announced call and showed {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a set, but was behind Metz's {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for the turned straight.

A cry of "wow" came up from the table as the {3-Clubs} fell on the river as Metz doubled up. Benedetti could do nothing but shake her head as she handed over most of her stack.

Lefevre Rides Flopped Set to a Double

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Lionel Lefevre and Jose Hernandez went heads-up to a flop of {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} when Hernandez bet 2,500 and Lefevre came back with a raise to 5,000.

Hernandez called to see the {5-Hearts} on the turn. Lefevre checked this time and Hernandez bet 6,000. Lefevre came back with an all-in shove for his last 7,200 and Hernandez called with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

Lefevre showed {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and had Hernandez drawing to a straight which failed to come in on the {7-Hearts} river.

Guzzo Busts Karaaslan

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a board of {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, Mahmut Karaaslan fired out a bet of 5,900 and Fabian Guzzo made the call from the button.

The river was the {k-Clubs} and Karaaslan opted to push his remaining 10,000 chips into the middle and Guzzo was visibly uncomfortable. Guzzo sat back in his seat, hands on his head, and started to play the hand back before throwing in a single chip to signify a call.

Mahmut Karaaslan: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Fabian Guzzo: {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Karaaslan's two pair was no match for Guzzo's trip kings and Karaaslan headed out of the card room whilst Guzzo stacked his newfound wealth.
