Strong River Bet Gets it Done for Baroukh

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Bernard Baroukh raised from middle position to 2,100, and Luca Falco, on the button, was the only caller.

A continuation-bet came from Baroukh, who made it 2,600 on the 10K4 flop. Falco once again just called.

The K turn was then checked by both players.

Baroukh's early aggression in the hand withered as he checked the Q river, before folding to a 6,000 bet from Falco, leaving both players with similar-sized stacks.

Ampelikiotis Takes from Hand

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With about 7,500 in the middle and the board reading AJ10, Fintan Hand checked from early position and Theodoros Ampelikiotis checked from middle position, leading to the 9 turn. This time, Hand bet 4,000 and was called by Ampelikiotis.

Both players checked the 8 river. Hand tabled K9 for a missed straight draw that turned into a pair of nines while Ampelikiotis showed A5 for top pair to take the pot.

Diamonds Good for Rinne

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Jack Salter made it 1,800 in the cutoff and Toivo Rinne called in the big blind.

The flop came 5Q2 and Salter bet 1,200 after it was checked to him. Rinne made the call.

A fourth diamond landed on the turn when the A hit. Both players opted to check on the four-card-flush board.

An A came on the river, which both players checked again. Rinne showed 107, having made a seven-high flush on the turn. Salter mucked his hand, but still remained with a healthy stack.

Polstra's Rockets Go Down in Flames

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Artem Sugak
Artem Sugak

After a series of preflop raises, Artem Sugak found himself all in with a covering stack against both Kevin Polstra and Matthias Schlarb who was short-stacked.

Matthias Schlarb: 44
Kevin Polstra: AA
Artem Sugak: AK

Polstra was a massive favorite to take the pot, but was drawing close to dead when Sugak hit trips on the KKJ flop. Sugak remained ahead on the 7 turn and J river to take down a huge pot while eliminating two opponents.

Paap Makes a Stand

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Martin Paap opened to 2,300 from early position, only for Loris Alaimo to put in a three-bet to 6,300 from the cutoff.

Paap responded by moving all in for 31,400 and after about one minute of thought, Alaimo slid his cards into the muck, allowing Paap to take down a decent pot without having to see a flop.

Sverko Salvages Pot After Mistake

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Gregor Sverko bet 1,800 on the button and was called by Josep Pastor De Ramon in the big blind.

The 326 flop was checked through by both players.

De Ramon bet 3,500 on the 6 turn and Sverko called.

Things got really interesting as the 2 river landed, with Sverko checking out of turn and instantly realizing his mistake. De Ramon thought for a while before putting in a large bet of 9,500, sending Sverko into the tank.

Eventually, the Croatian called it down and won the hand with holding AJ against De Ramon's 85.
