Four-Bet From Van Der Walle

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Marinus van der Walle
Marinus van der Walle

Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz opened to 1,400 in middle position and Peter Tordai went deep into the tank from the next seat before three-betting to 4,500.

Action folded to Marinus van der Walle in the cutoff, who himself went in the tank behind a pair of dark sunglasses. Eventually, van der Walle four-bet to 13,000. Wyrzykiewicz quickly folded and Tordai followed suit, leading van der Walle to show AK as he took in the pot.

"It's Never Easy"

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Liviu Scutaru found himself all in and at risk preflop for approximately 15,000 versus Farouk Ahmed.

Liviu Scutaru: AK
Farouk Ahmed: A8

Scutaru was in great shape to double up with a dominating ace but the 695 gave Ahmed many more outs in the form of a flush draw. The 10 turn and 10 river were blanks and Scutaru secured an important double up.

"It's never easy, is it?" joked one of Scutaru's tablemates as he scooped the pot.

Weinberg Wins the Battle of the Blinds

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Cedric Weinberg limped in from the small blind and Abel Martinez checked his option in the big.

Heads up to a flop that came AK4. Weinberg took the lead for 600 and Martinez made the call.

The Q turned and Weinberg continued for an additional 1,400. Martinez was undeterred.

The 10 fell on the river and Weinberg bet 7,000, enough to put Martinez all in. Martinez remained in the tank for some time before calling off the bet for his tournament life.

Weinberg tabled J3 for the nut straight while Martinez was sent to the rail as he held A7.

Lapuente Refuses to Back Down

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

In a blind versus blind confrontation, there was 4,600 in the middle with two players looking at a board that read 73Q.

Esteban Lapuente, in the small blind, bet out 2,000. Quentin Laugt in the big blind raised to 5,500, to which Lapuente called.
