"Why You Bet?"

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

From under the gun, Rachid El Yaacoubi bet 20,000. He was called by Mircea Flutur in the cutoff and by the small blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of 766, and El Yaacoubi made a continuation bet of 35,000. But this time, only Flutur called to find the 4 on the turn.

El Yaacoubi checked this time, and saw Flutur bet 65,000. After some time, El Yaacoubi called, and he checked again on the river 8. Flutur took this opportunity to bet 95,000. El Yaacoubi waited a few seconds and called. However, he kept his cards face down when Flutur revealed AJ.

"Why did you bet?" said El Yaacoubi after the hand. "If I have a pair, I call, no?" he added. Flutur looked at him but didn't answer.

Murthy Makes the Wrong Call

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action was three ways to the turn on a board showing A9J7 with Robin Ylitalo checking from the big blind. Wouter Beltz followed with a check from under the gun and Neel Murthy tapped the table on the button to see the A river.

With 340,000 in the pot, Ylitalo and Beltz checked one last time. Murthy fired 175,000 and Ylitalo used a time bank before betting enough to put both opponents all in.

Beltz got out of the way and the decision was on Murthy. Two time banks later, the call was made and the hands were revealed.

Neel Murthy: 77
Robin Ylitalo: AJ

Murthy called off for his tournament life with a set of sevens, but it was second best to Ylitalo's full house. Murthy was eliminated while Ylitalo took down a massive pot of more than 1,400,000 chips.

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Felipe Boianovsky opened to 20,000 from middle position, then Jose Valls in the big blind three-bet to 75,000. Boianovsky eventually called, and a QJ9 flop landed on the table.

Both players checked at this point and they checked again on the turn 2. On the river Qx, Valls decided to bet 89,000 chips. Boianovsky went into the tank and decided to call with K9. Valls revealed A2 before him, so Boianovsky won the pot with his pair of nines to go with the queens on the board.
