Flutur Hits the Turn For a Double

Carl Shaw raised to 115,000 in the cutoff and was called by Felipe Morell on the button and Mircea Flutur in the big blind.

The flop came K♦10♣7♣ and action checked to Shaw who bet 200,000. Morelli folded, but Flutur then moved all in for 450,000. Shaw snap-called.

Shaw had two pair, while Flutur was chasing a flush draw. The turn came the A♣ and Flutur completed his flush to take the lead. Shaw needed to fill up on the river to score the knockout but instead saw the 8♠ fall as Flutur, the last remaining online qualifier in the field, doubled up.

Mathias Duarte raised to 100,000 from middle position and was called by Curtis Knight on the button and Van Marcus in the big blind.

"Nothing to see here, buddy. Five hundred," Marcus said as Duarte eyed his stack heading to the 4♠5♥6♦ flop. Action checked around to Knight who bet 120,000.

Marcus folded, but Duarte stuck around to see the 2♥ turn. Duarte then led out for 250,000 and Knight called.

The river came the 2♣ and both players checked. Duarte then turned over A♣J♣, but Knight had 10♥10♦ to win the pot.

Fournier Calls a River Bluff

Daniyar Aubakirov opened to 100,000 on the button and Samuel Fournier called in the small blind.

Fournier checked on the flop of Q♥K♦Q♣ and Aubakirov checked back. Fournier then bet 80,000 on the 5♥ turn and Aubakirov called.

The 6♦ river completed the board and Fournier bet a hefty 420,000. Aubakirov responded with a small raise to 830,000 to send Fournier into the tank.

"I have aces, my friend," Fournier said as he thought through a decision.

Fournier eventually called as Aubakirov showed a jack-high bluff with J♣10♥. Fournier did indeed have aces as he showed A♥A♦ to win the pot.

Ezequiel Waigel raised to 110,000 on the button, then called when big blind Thomas Boivin moved all in for around 1,000,000 more.

The A♣3♠5♠4♣6♠ board provided no help to Boivin and he was sent to the rail in 25th place.

Blind versus blind, Pedro Lopes bet 50,000 on a flop of 8♠K♣10♠ and Ezequiel Waigel called in the big blind.

The turn came the J♠ and Lopes led out for 160,000. Waigel again called to the K♥ river, where Lopes bet another 280,000.

Waigel snap-called and Lopes showed Q♠Q♦. Waigel, though, had K♦7♠ for trip kings to win the pot.

The next hand, Lopes bet 75,000 from the button on a flop of J♠3♦K♥ and Thomas Boivin called in the big blind.

The turn came the 6♥ and Lopes bet 325,000 this time. Boivin again called to the 10♦ river, where Lopes then moved all in. Boivin snap-folded.

Pablo Melogno raised to 105,000 from middle position before Robin Ylitalo made it 280,000 from the next seat over. The rest of the table ducked out of the way and Melogno shoved with just a little bit less than Ylitalo. Ylitalo called and the cards were turned up.
