Under the gun, Roy Tannous limped, but had to add more chips to the pot to see the flop 235 as Vasilii Shvarev in the cutoff 3-bet to 3,000.

Tannous called, but both players checked on the first street. The J came on the turn, and Tannous took the lead, betting 3,000. Shvarev called, and called again a bet of 6,500 on the river 4.

"You win," said Tannous while looking at his cards. And he was right, as he threw them in the muck when Shvarev revealed AK.

Silviu Baltateanu and Evgenii Ushakov engaged in a pre-flop raising war that ended with Ushako all in for his last 27,000 from the small blind. Baltateanu had him at risk from early position.

Ushakov had run right into Baltateanu's aces but found some hope on the 8QK flop with a pair of kings. The 9 turn kept Baltateanu in the lead, while the J river sealed Ushakov's elimination.

Aubakirov Four-Bets Reard

Daniyar Aubakirov raised to 1,300 from middle position before Aurelie Reard three-bet out of the small blind to 4,700. Action folded back to Aubakirov who put in a four-bet to 10,300.

Reard called and they went heads-up to the 4A2 flop. Aubakirov then fired out another 3,500 and Reard quickly called.

The turn came the 5 and Aubakirov continued for 4,000. Reard this time quickly mucked her hand.

Ehsan Amiri was sitting on a massive stack as he raised to 1,600 in middle position. Action then folded to Atil Okay in the big blind.

"We are always playing together," Okay said before calling. The flop came K46 and both players checked.

Amiri then bet 2,000 on the Q turn and Okay quickly folded as Amiri has already built up a stack approaching 140,000 here on Day 1a.

High roller regulars Pablo Brito Silva and Quan Zhou were also recently spotted taking seats in the tournament.

Koleznev Takes A Family Pot

In a limped family pot with all the players at the table involved except for one, the dealer revealed a flop of A3A. The blinds checked, as well as the player under the gun. But Dmitry Koleznev in early position took some chips to bet 1,100. Everybody folded, but not Martin Ilavsky on the button who called.

The 6 came on the turn, and Koleznev bet 2,600. But his last opponent folded, and he took the pot to make a giant pile of chips.
