Ingrid Etienne raised in early position and Gregory Hassan three-bet to 6,000 in the big blind. Etienne called.
Hassan checked on the flop of 9♠5♣6♣ and Etienne fired a bet of 3,600. Hassan laid it down.
Vincent Facquet opened to 2,500 from early position and both Cedric Cavalier in the hijack and Michael Anty in the big blind called.
The flop came 10♥7♣6♣ and action checked to Cavalier, who bet out 5,000, which only Anty called. On the 9♦ turn Anty checked again and Cavalier sized to 7,000, which Anty called.
The 4♠ completed the board and both players checked to a showdown. Anty rolled over Q♣9♣ for a pair of nines and missed flush draw, but was no good against the 7♥7♠ for Cavalier whose flopped set scored the pot.
Harry Lodge opened to 2,500 in early position and Nicolas Julien called in the hijack to get things heads-up.
Lodge continued for 2,500 on the flop of Q♦Q♣3♠ and Julien called. Lodge sized up to 4,000 on the J♠ turn and Julien again called.
The 5♣ river completed the board and Lodge slowed down by checking. Julien bet 15,700 and Lodge laid it down.

Frederic Breton opened the action to 2,500 from the hijack and only Ehsan Amiri made the call in the cutoff.
The flop fanned out J♥7♦3♠ and both players checked their options to the 10♣ turn. Breton checked again and Amiri sized to 3,000, which Breton called.
The 3♥ completed the board and Breton checked a third time. Amiri tossed out a single blue chip worth 5,000 and without much thought, Breton let his cards go.
Leon Sturm opened to 2,200 on the button and Patricia Almeras defended out of the big blind.
Almeras checked on the flop of 6♣10♠K♣ and Sturm bet 1,500. Almeras called. Almeras then led out for 6,000 on the 2♣ turn and Sturm called.
The 5♦ river completed the board and Almeras bet 15,000. Sturm called. Almeras didn't want to show and mucked to concede the pot, allowing Sturm to take it down without showing.
Elsewhere, Marle Spragg was seen hopping back into the tournament.
The action folded to Charles Laczny on the button who opened for 2,200 and Samy Hazan moved all in from the small blind for 9,300. The big blind quickly got out of the way and Laczny called to put Hazan at risk.

Hazan was in great shape preflop, but when the flop fanned out A♥8♥3♠, it was the flopped set that turned the tables to put Laczny well in the lead. The 6♦ turn and 5♥ river completed the board and the set of eights held up to send Hazan to the exit.
The preflop action wasn't clear, but Milos Skrbic was all-in for more than 50,000 on the button against Adrian Pacheco in the big blind, who had him covered.

Skrbic had run into aces but got some hope as the flop landed 7♣10♦K♠. Nonetheless, the board finished out 6♣8♠ and he was eliminated.
"Merry Christmas!" someone at the table told Pacheco as he raked in the pot.
