Adrian Mateos opened to 21,000 from the hijack, and Mikita Badziakouski called from the big blind. Badziakouski check-raised to 36,000 on the A♦J♦J♠ flop after Mateos continued for 12,000. The latter called.
On the 3♣ turn, Badziakouski check-raised for a second time, making it 135,000 to go. Mateos, who had fired for 33,000, called again.
Badziakouski then put in a tower of chips on the 4♠ river, and Mateos made the snap fold.
Santhosh Suvarna
On the following hand, Mateos opened to 21,000, and Santhosh Suvarna moved all in for 72,000 from two seats over. Action folded back to Mateos, who called.
Santhosh Suvarna: K♥9♠
Adrian Mateos: K♦Q♣
Suvarna was dominated but ended up with the winner after making a straight on the 7♦6♥5♣8♠5♦ runout.
As the hand played out, Jean-Noel Thorel was eliminated by Christoph Vogelsang on an adjacent table.
Alex Kulev opened to 35,000 from the small blind, and Artur Martirosian defended his big blind to see the K♠10♦4♥ flop. Kulev check-raised to 87,000 after Martirosian bet 27,000. The latter called.
Kulev continued for 140,000 on the 3♠ turn, and Martirosian stuck around again. On the 6♠, Kulev slid in a tower of T-25,000 chips to put Martirosian all-in. The Russian had 283,000 behind, and after using up four time chips, Martirosian called.
Kulev had Jx9x for jack-high while Martirosian had called correctly with his K♦9♣.
Action folded to Mikita Badziakouski in the hijack, who raised to 27,000. Adrian Mateos called in the small blind and Orpen Kisacikoglu called in the big blind.
The flop came 6♦9♥4♠ and all three players checked. The turn was the 6♣. Mateos checked and Kisacikoglu bet 39,000. Badziakouski called and Mateos folded.
The river fell the 2♦ and Kisacikoglu put out a large bet of 140,000. Badziakouski made the call. Kisacikoglu showed Q♠8♥ for a bluff and Badziakouski flipped over 6♠5♠ to scoop the pot with trip sixes.

The first 20-minute break of the day has now begun. The Day 2 field of 26 has shrunk to 18 players. Check out some highlights from the first two levels of the day:
Daniel Dvoress jammed for 130,000 from middle position and was called by Orpen Kisacikoglu from the big blind.
Daniel Dvoress: J♥10♥
Orpen Kisacikoglu: A♦K♥
Dvoress became the huge favorite after making trips on the J♣J♠6♠ flop, but the A♦ turn gave Kisacikoglu two outs to win the hand. Dvoress survived as the dealer completed the board with the 6♥, and he raked in a much-needed pot.
