An All-Italian Battle

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

With around 11,000 in the middle and the board reading AJ10K, the action was on Enrico Camosci in the hijack. Dario Sammartino was waiting patiently but eventually called the clock after nothing happened for nearly two minutes. With the time running down, Camosci finally made a bet of 3,000.

Sammartino decided to splash in a raise to 8,000 and Camosci quickly jammed all in over the top. Sammartino flicked his cards to the muck and the two engaged in some friendly Italian chat. Camosci tabled Q9 for a straight and a redraw as he collected the pot.

Alexandre Landron raised to 2,200 on the button and Mauricio Salazar Sanchez reraised to 7,000 in the small blind. Landron called and the dealer fanned the flop of AQJ.

Salazar Sanchez continued with a bet of 7,000 and Landron called. The A paired the board on the turn and Salazar Sanchez unleashed another barrel of 11,000. Landron still called and the 6 hit the river. Both players checked and Salazar Sanchez turned over A3 for the best hand.
