Masliankou Doubles Through Alt; The Latter Gets Small Rebate

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Yury Masliankou
Yury Masliankou

Yury Masliankou opened to 1,200 early position before Dinesh Alt made it 3,600 from the cutoff. Masliankou then four-bet to 9,200, which sent Alt into the tank. After a few moments, he jammed for 34,300 total. Masliankou, who started the hand with 32,400, called.

Yury Masliankou: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Dinesh Alt: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Alt was on course to scoop in the sizeable pot following the {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and {4-Diamonds} turn. However, Masliankou paired up on the {a-Spades} river to leave Alt short.

The very next hand, the tables were reversed as Alt was at risk of elimination by Masliankou. Alt had the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} while his opponent had the {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The pocket fives remained ahead as the board ran out {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

Team Pros Win Small Ones

Level 5 : Blinds 200/500, 500 ante

Lex Veldhuis defended his big blind against the raise of 800 from hijack Kevin Flugel. The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Veldhuis check-called a 600 bet from Flugel. The turn {4-Diamonds} was checked by both players before Veldhuis bet 1,400 on the {3-Clubs} river. That was enough to get Flugel to fold and Veldhuis raked in the pot.

On the table across, Ramon Colillas had joined the fray. He was found in the hijack on a board that read {4-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and the action went check-check. His opponent, Christopher Dowling, bet 2,100 from early position on the {q-Spades} river. Colillas raised to 9,000 before Dowling folded, conceding the pot to Colillas.

Jacobson Opts for a Check-Raise in Multi-Way Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Martin Jacobson raised it up from under the gun and picked up four callers along the way. The flop came {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the action checked to Nenad Dukic in the cutoff who bet 1,300. Dominik Panka called on the button and Jacobson check-raised to 6,000. Dukic folded and Panka was the only one to call.

The {3-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and Jacobson checked again. Panka threw in a bet of 3,500 and Jacobson stuck around to see the {6-Clubs} on the river. Both players knuckled the table and Jacobson turned over {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for the winner.

Suutari Doubles Up

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

There was 15,000 in the pot on the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{9-Spades} completed board. Mehdi Senhaji checked from the big blind before Juho Suutari jammed for 15,200 from middle position.

Senhaji went into the tank and toyed with his chips.

"Why would you check the flop?" questioned Senhaji. Suutari refused to answer.

Senhaji continued to mull over his options until he found the call. Suutari had the nut flush with his {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} while Senhaji tabled his {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for just a pair of kings.

Kanit Steals It on the River

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Mustapha Kanit opened to 1,000 in middle position and was called by Peter Jaksland and Kalidou Sow in the blinds. The flop came {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to Kanit who bet 2,000. Both of the blinds called as they went three ways to the {7-Clubs} on the turn.

All three players checked and the {9-Diamonds} completed the board. The action checked to Kanit again who put together a bet of 8,500. Jaksland quickly folded but Sow went into the tank for a minute before ultimately deciding to do the same.
