Danchev Eliminates Derzhypilskyi

Level 9 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Oleg Vasylchenko opened to 6,000 on the button and just behind him, Andrii Derzhypilskyi shoved for a bit under 50,000 from the small blind. Dimitar Danchev also went all in from the big blind for more and Vasylchenko got out of the way.

Andrii Derzhypilskyi: A6
Dimitar Danchev: 99

Derzhypilskyi would need some help, but the 769 left him drawing to runner-runner.

The J turn left Derzhypilskyi drawing dead and an irrelevant Q completed the board, leaving Danchev best with a set of nines for the elimination.

Higgins Shows a Better Ten

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Simon Higgins and Ihor Hula were heads-up from the blinds on a flop of 4610.

Higgins check-called an 11,000 bet from Hula and then both players checked on the 7 turn.

The 7 river paired the board and Higgins checked once more. Hula put 12,000 into the middle and Higgins called.

Hula turned over 102 for tens-up, but Higgins tabled K10 for tens-up with a king kicker and dragged the pot.

Trips for Spragg Leaves Sitbon Short

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

On a completed board of 992610, the action was joined with Julien Sitbon and Benjamin Spragg heads up. Sitbon led out for 24,500 in the big blind. Benjamin Spragg took his time on the button, but ultimately made the call.

He showed K9, flopping trips, while a frustrated Sitbon mucked his hand, leaving the Frenchman with around 14 big blinds - while Spragg chipped up to above starting stack.

Shimizu Goes Runner-Runner

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Nozomu Shimizu
Nozomu Shimizu

Nozomu Shimizu opened to 6,000 from the cutoff and was called by Parker Talbot on the button.

Parker proceeded to call bets from Shimizu on every street. First for 6,000 on the 7107 flop. Then for 16,000 on the A turn. And finally for a hefty 65,000 on the Q river.

Shimizu tabled J6 for a flush and Talbot mucked — sending the large pot Shimizu's way.

Hand Dusted by Dickerson

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Fintan Hand was already all-in preflop and at risk on the button for his short stack against Jules Dickerson, who was in the hijack.

Fintan Hand: KQ
Jules Dickerson: A6

Dickerson held a slight lead with his ace, and the 2101053 runout failed to improve Hand — eliminating him for the second time this tournament.
