Maunders Moves Up the Leaderboard

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The action was picked up on a board of Q4A2 with Giuseppe Tarsia having bet 2,000 from the button. Elias Sibgatova called from the big blind before Daniel Maunders check-raised to 8,000 from early position. Both Tarsia and Sibgatovea called.

Sibgatova checked on the 7 river. Maunders fired out a bet of 12,000, which only Tarsia called. Maunders turned over QQ for a flopped set of queens to win the pot. Tarsia turned over AxJx for a pair of aces.

Is Pyzara Piecing Together Another Deep Run in a PokerStars Regional Main Event?

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Kacper Pyzara
Kacper Pyzara

Kacper Pyzara opened to 2,100 from under the gun and was called by Betanzos Guerrero, Edgar Almeida and Yangyang Zhang. Michael Uguccioni then moved all in for around 27,000 from the big blind. Pyzara rejammed for a few thousand more, and folded out the rest of the table.

Kacper Pyzara: KK

Pyzara had Uguccioni dominated and he flushed the Italian out of the tournament following the J5456 runout.

Back at EPT Paris, Pyzara made a deep run in the French Poker Series Main Event, finishing in fifth place for a career-best score of €124,390 ($133,662). Can the Polish poker player with more than $1.2 million in live earnings replicate his performance in the French capital?

Charuf Cracks Kings to Stay Alive

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Norberto Damian Charuf committed his last 14,500 chips preflop with Yossi Fixman making the call to put him at risk.

The flop of J9A propelled Charuf into the lead with a set of jacks. The A turn and 10 river didn't improve Fixman, and he had to send around a third of his chips over to Charuf.

"I'm Not Going to Fold Anymore"

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With 14,500 in the middle, the turn read J749, and Alf-Inge Olsen was in the tank with a bet of 5,000 across the line as he was faced with an all-in jam from Aneris Adomkevicius.

After several minutes of thinking, the clock was called by a tablemate, and he dropped his stack of 29,000 across the line.

Aneris Adomkevicius: 87

Olsen was ahead with his top pair, and was able to fade the straight and flush draw of Adomkevicius as the 5 completed the board on the river.

"I'm not going to fold anymore! Be careful," yelled an excited Olsen as he pulled in the pot.

Nine Enough for Guerrero

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action folded around to the blinds, where Betanzos Guerrero raised to 2,500 from the small blind and Marco Pacini called from the big blind.

Pacini called a 2,000 bet from Guerrero on the K95 flop and then Guerrero check-called a 3,200 bet from Pacini on the 4 turn.

The 2 completed the board and both players checked.

Guerrero turned over A9 for a pair of nines and Pacini mucked — conceding the pot to Guerrero.
