McKola Starts Strong

Adam McKola had just scooped a pot, then a couple of hands later raised from late position. The small blind called and Julien Rouquet called in the big blind.

The flop came K56 and action checked to McKola, who continued for 600. The small blind folded and Rouquet called. The turn was the 5 and Rouquet checked again. McKola bet again for 1,400 and Rouquet folded to concede the pot.

McKola chipped up to a little under 40,000, a solid start in the first couple of levels of play.

Cain's Turn Raise Forces Wiciak Out

There were around 3,000 chips in the pot with the board reading J939. Simon Wiciak bet 800 from the big blind and was instantly raised to 8,500 by Luke Cain. Wiciak quickly folded and Cain dragged in the pot.

Artsiom Lasouski opened 500 in early position and both Maria Konnikova on the button and Maher Achour in the big blind made the call.

All three players checked to the J10107 turn, where Achour check-folded to a bet of 600 from Konnikova, and Lasouski check-called.

The Q completed the board and both players tapped the table. Lasouski announced 'seven' as he rolled 76. Konnikova mucked her hand while laughing as she said, "You turned me."

Yu Correctly Calls With Ace-high

With the board reading 449K, Nils Veipans bet 2,300 from early position and Ryan Yu called from the seat next to him.

Veipans fired out 4,200 upon seeing the 3 come on the river. Yu thought it over for a while before making the call.

Veipans turned over AJ for ace-jack high and was second best to the AQ of Yu for ace-high with a queen kicker.

Zachmanidis Can't Push Zhao Around

Georgios Zachmanidis opened from early position and Cheng Zhao three-bet to 1,500 from the hijack. When the action got back to Zachmanidis, he called.

They both saw a flop of 637 where Zachmanidis checked, Zhao bet 1,300, Zachmanidis raised to 4,500, and Zhao called.

On the 6 turn, Zachmanidis led out for 6,000, and after thinking for around 30 seconds, Zhao called.

A 4 landed on the river and Zachmanidis checked, then Zhao quickly checked back.

Zachmanidis showed AK for ace-high, but Zhao held 88 for a pair of eights and won the pot.

Maerki Catches a bluff

Daniel Camelo opened 300 in middle positon and both Luca Maerki on the button, and Dmytro Tsykalo in the big blind made the call.

When the 743 flop hit the felt, Tsykalo checked and Camelo continued for 300. Maerki put in a raise to 1,200, forcing Tsykalo out of the pot while Camelo stuck around with a call.

The Q turn was checked through to see the Q on the river, where Camelo fired 3,300 across the line and Maerki snap-called.

Camelo rolled A2 for a busted straight flush draw, and Maerki took down the pot with 88.

Ni Calls Hadnagy Down

Sandor Hadnagy raised to 500 from late position and Yidi Ni called on the button.

The flop came 3K2 and Hadnagy bet 700, which Ni called. The turn was the J, Hadnagy bet 1,000 and Ni called again.

On the 7 river, Hadnagy bet 1,800 and Ni called. Hadnagy showed 99 for a pair of nines and Ni flipped KQ for a pair of kings to win the pot.

Vincent Nordeman opened from the cutoff and Nicholas Marchington three-bet on the button. Nordeman called.

Nordeman checked on the flop of 6410 and Marchington continued for 1,200. Nordeman called. Nordeman checked again on the J turn and Marchington sized up to 5,000. Nordeman again called.

Nordeman checked once more on the 6 river and Marchington put him to the test by moving all in. Nordeman folded to hang onto his remaining 23,000.
