Kiriakus Happy to Be Wrong

Riccardo Saraniero had opened under the gun when Jack Kiriakus put him all in for roughly 100,000 chips. Saraniero snap-called to put his tournament life at risk.

At the same time at another table, 2013 EPT Barcelona champion Tom Middleton busted to Jorge Artiga-Pacheco. According to Artiga-Pacheco, Middleton jammed with ace-five and he woke up with ace-king in the blinds. The board provided no help and Middleton was sent to the rail.

Gillingham Shoves into Schrijvers

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Matthew Gillingham opened AA from under the gun to 16,000 and Dennis Schrijvers three-bet the small blind to 65,000 with AK. Gillingham called, and the players went heads-up to the flop.

Schrijvers bet 40,000 on the 57Q flop and Gillingham called.

The 7 came on the turn and Schrijvers used a time bank before betting 125,000. Gillingham moved all in for 228,000 and put the pressure on Schrijvers who eventually folded. Gillingham showed his pocket aces to the table and took the pot.

Karakousis Makes Boat and Busts Escote

Sergi Escote was all in preflop for around 300,000 against Georgios Karakousis who had him just covered as players flipped their cards.

The board ran out KQJ4Q to give Karakousis a set of jacks on the flop and a full house on the river, jacks full of queens. He near-doubled his stack and eliminated Escote from the table.

Defending Champ Busts Another One

Daniyar Aubakirov raised to 24,000, leaving only 10,000 behind. Jeremy Palvini called in the seat next to him before PokerStars Ambassador Simon Wiciak moved in, covering both opponents.

Aubakirov quickly called before Palvani mucked his cards.

Ermo Kosk raised from the button and Gabriel De Moura three-bet to 80,000 from the small blind. Jelle Moene called in the big blind and when action came back around to Kosk he pushed all in for 134,000. Only De Moura called and players flipped their cards, with Kosk at risk.

Nasreddine Building a Stack

Rania Nasreddine raised with KJ to 16,000 from the hijack and got a single call from Dennis Schrijvers from the big blind with Q5.

Both players checked the Q83 flop.

The K was turned and Schrijvers checked, with Nasreddine betting 20,000. Schrijvers made the call.

Both were quick to make a check on the J river, giving Nasreddine two pair and a chip-up early after the dinner break on the second feature table.

Suutari Gets a Warning From the Floor, Then Busts to Hansen

Juho Suutari and Sindre Hansen saw a flop of A83 when Suutari bet 90,000 from middle position, leaving just one 5,000 chip behind.

The floor was called over and they ruled Suutari would only be given 15 seconds on his next decision and would be unable to use any time banks. Hansen then moved all in from the hijack and Suutari tossed in his last chip.

With 70,000 chips already in the middle on a board of 10A47, Andrew Hulme checked it over to Carlos Jurado, who bet 56,000. After some contemplating, Hulme elected to call.

When the 5 fell on the river, Hulme led out with a bet of 70,000, and Jurado eventually folded.

Yantsevich Jams on Avanesyan

Arriving on a turn of 8237, Valery Yantsevich checked out of the small blind to Yanis Avanesyan in middle position. Avanesyan made a bet of 82,000 into the pot of 200,000, slightly less than half of his stack.

Yantsevich then jammed all in with the covering stack, getting an instant and frustrated fold from his opponent.

Avanesyan flung his cards to the dealer while talking to himself in his native language, exposing the A in the progress. Meanwhile, the pot was shipped to Yantsevich, who crossed the half-million mark.
