Mamou-Mani Feels the Wrath of the Poker Gods

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Amaury Mamou-Mani
Amaury Mamou-Mani

Enis Rouissi opened to 16,000 from late position before Amaury Mamou-Mani three-bet to 51,000 from the big blind. Rouissi jammed as the big stack and Mamou-Mani called off his stack of 290,000.

"Nine in the window, never lose," said Mamou-Mani after the dealer put out the Q93 flop.

"Don't say that," said someone at the table, insinuating that Mamou-Mani may have been speaking too soon.

The 4 turn gave Rouissi a flush draw, which came in on the 7 river to secure the sickening bust out.

Chauskin Busts Hrabec to Take Huge Pot

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Natan Chauskin
Natan Chauskin

Natan Chauskin opened to 17,000 under the gun and action folded to Roman Hrabec in the small blind. He reached for chips and produced a three-bet to 70,000.

Action folded back to Chauskin, who confirmed the amount of the raise, before announcing a four-bet to 190,000. Both players had around 800,000 at the start of the hand, Chauskin having slightly more.

Hrbaec went deep into thought, and disposed of two time banks before moving the rest of his chips into the middle. Chauskin made the quick call to create a huge 1,600,000 pot.

Natan Chauskin: KK

In a huge cooler, Hrabec's ace-king was in bad shape versus Chauskin's kings, and matters went further downhill for Hrabec after the K83 flop gave Chauskin top set.

Hrabec threatened a miraculous escape with the A turn, but the Q river did not bring the ace Hrabec required, and he was sent to the rail.

Nasreddine Takes Multiway Pot

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Rania Nasreddine opened to 16,000 from middle position and received calls from Maxime Parys on the button, Derk van Luijk in the small blind and Sebastian Malec in the big blind.

The flop came Q6Q and action checked around to Nasreddine who fired a 24,000 continuation bet. Parys made the call while the other two players got out of the way.

Nasreddine fired a second barrel for 80,000 on the K turn and this time it was enough to force a fold from Parys.

Pereira Rebounds After Parys Gets Value

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On the penultimate hand before the break, Maxime Parys opened to 16,000 from early positon. Derk van Luijk and Antonio Pereira called from middle position and the cutoff.

Rania Nasreddine briefly thought about her options in the small blind before making a "disciplined fold" that was "the best fold of the day." Daniel Novak also folded in the big blind.

The 863 flop checked through to the J turn and Parys bet 50,000. Both opponents called.

The 7 river completed the board and Parys sized up to 120,000 after using up a time bank. Van Luijk got out of the way before Pereira went into the tank. He had 165,000 and after using a time bank, he called.

Parys tabled AA and Pereira mucked.

The next deal, Parys raised and then called when Pereira put in the rest of his chips. Pereira had an ace which remained ahead of Parys' J9 as the board ran out with the 107455.

Kevinas Korsakas
Kevinas Korsakas

PokerStars Gold Power Path pass winner Kevinas Korsakas opened to 16,000 under the gun and Adrian Mateos defended his big blind.

On the 8103 flop, Mateos check-called versus a bet of 11,000 from Korsakas.

The Q rolled off on the turn, and Mateos again check-called versus a bet of 45,000 from Korsakas.

The river came the 8 and Mateos checked once more. Korsakas decided he had put enough in the pot and checked back, and it proved to be a good decision as Mateos showed 86 for the rivered trip eights, and Korsakas showed AJ for ace-high.
