On the next deal, Adrian Mateos opened to 50,000 with 3♥3♦ from middle position before Jovan Kenjic made it 150,000 from the cutoff. Natan Chauskin was on the button and four-bet to 350,000. Mateos folded, and then Kenjic jammed for 795,000 and was called.

On the first hand back from the break, Fabrice Bigot opened to 50,000 in the hijack. Derk van Luijk then three-bet to 165,000 in the small blind. Bigot four-bet to 360,000, Van Luijk moved all in, and Bigot snap-called for 985,000.

Bigot had run into Van Luijk's aces in a massive pot as the 10♦8♣J♦ flop gave him some hope with a straight draw. The turn was the 10♠, while the 10♣ river improved Van Luijk to a full house and sent Bigot to the rail in 24th place, making Van Luijk the new tournament chip leader.

Cibicek Leaves Bedir on Fumes With Big River Bet

Selahaddin Bedir raised to 50,000 in middle position and Boris Angelov called in middle position. Jozef Cibicek then three-bet to 285,000 in the small blind and only Bedir called.

The flop came 10♦3♦10♠ and both players checked to the 7♥ turn. Cibicek then bet 245,000 and Bedir called.

The river was the 4♥ and Cibicek placed nearly his entire stack on top of his ID card and slid it into the middle. The dealer counted out a bet of 700,000, leaving Cibicek with just 80,000 behind. Bedir snap-called.

Cibicek then turned over A♦A♠ and Bedir mucked, handing over the massive pot while dropping the start-of-day chip leader down to an extreme short stack.

Angelov admitted he folded two sevens and would've hit a full house. "We would not be friends if you called," Cibicek joked with him.

Chauskin smashed the 5♥5♣4♠ flop and check-raised to 140,000 over a bet of 40,000 and was called.

The 2♣ turn left Mateos drawing to a chop, and he called a bet of 200,000 with his Big Slick.

The 10♣ river completed the board and Chauskin led out for 500,000 with his trips. Mateos used up three time banks before making the hero-call.

Chauskin raked in the 1,815,000 pot and leapfrogged his opponent in the chip counts.

Danilo Velasevic opened to 50,000 from the hijack with A♠8♠ before Adrian Mateos made it 165,000 from the button with A♥A♦. Action folded back to Velasevic, who four-bet to 410,000. Mateos just called with his rockets.

Velasevic continued for 250,000 on the Q♠5♦2♥ flop, and Mateos continued to slow play his aces and just called.

The 7♦ turn left Velasevic drawing dead and action checked through to the 2♦ river.

Velasevic did not take the bait and checked for a second time. He then folded when Mateos bet 790,000.
