Wenzelburger Slow Plays His Way to a Massive Pot

Philipp Wenzelburger picked up Q♠Q♦ in the small blind and limped in as Jonathan Guedes checked back 8♣3♣.

The flop came 6♣2♦6♥ and Wenzelburger checked to Guedes who bet 75,000. Wenzelburger called.

The turn was the 9♦ and Guedes bet another 210,000. Wenzelburger again called and the 7♠ fell on the river.

Guedes then overbet the pot, sliding in 1,100,000. Wenzelburger quickly called to win the massive pot, moving up past 5,000,000 once more and into the chip lead.

Niclas Thumm limped in from under the gun before Philipp Wenzelburger raised to 100,000 on the button. Adrian Mateos called in the big blind, as did Thumm and they went three-handed to the 6♥3♠K♠ flop.

All three players checked to the 7♥ turn where Mateos led out for 125,000. Thumm called, while Wenzelburger got out of the way.

The river was the Q♥ and Mateos used a time bank before betting 235,000. Thumm then moved all in for 560,000 and Mateos snap-folded 10♣9♠ as Thumm took the pot with J♥10♥ for a rivered flush.

The flop 8♠J♦A♦ was checked through.

On the K♣ turn, Angelov opted to check-call Chauskin's bet of 250,000.

With the 6♥ river, Angelov checked again, and Chauskin made a bet of 450,000. Angelov called after using one of his time bank cards, prompting Chauskin to muck his cards without revealing his hand.
