Apostolos Kofidis opened to 900 from under the gun, then called after Vitalii Shcherba in the hijack three-bet to 2,600.

The dealer fanned a flop of 3♥K♥4♠ and Shcherba continued for 1,500. Kofidis check-called, and check-called again after Shcherba bet 4,000 on the J♦ turn.

On the 10♦ river, Kofidis decided to go all-in. Shcherba snap-called, finding himself at risk for 29,000.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos kicked off the hand with a raise from early position before Severi Palmu three-bet to 2,500 from the next seat across. Papadopoulos four-bet to 5,600 and Palmu moved all in. Papadopoulos called with the shorter stack and players turned their cards.

Ferenc Vardai opened to 500 from the cutoff, but Abraham Uittenbogaard on the button three-bet to 1,200. Last year's runner-up Jon Kyte in the big blind four-bet to 4,400, making Vardai fold. Uittenbogaard however made the call.

Both players checked the 7♥6♣9♥ flop leading to the 2♥ turn where Kyte bet 5,400. Uittenbogaard called, but found himself in a tough spot after Kyte bet 25,000 on the A♥ river. He counted his stack and said "Hero-call" while pushing his 16,000-chip stack forward.
