Davies Raises Big on the River

Leon Sturm raised to 5,000 under the gun only to be three-bet by Seth Davies to 19,000 from the next seat. The action folded to Tom Fuchs in the big blind, and he four-bet to 55,000. Sturm got out of the way, while Davies made the call.

Fuchs and Davies checked all the way to the river on a board of A♥9♥7♠6♦Q♠ before Fuchs bet 11,000. Davies raised to 135,000, causing Fuchs to lay his hand down and forfeit the pot to Davies.

Both checked all the way to the river on the 9♣A♥9♦6♠J♠ runout, where Ivey fired 8,000. Koon called.

Ivey then showed A♦2♦ for a pair of aces, and Koon tapped the table as he mucked.

First, Sturm opened the cutoff to 5,500 and then folded to a three-bet from Davies on the button.

Shortly after, Sturm raised from middle position to 5,000 and Davies made it 19,000 from the hijack. Sturm called.

The flop came K♥A♠8♠ and Sturm check-folded to the continuation-bet of Davies.

Phil Ivey came in with a raise to 5,500 under the gun, with Nikita Kuznetsov calling from the hijack and Jean-Noel Thorel defending his blind.

Thorel checked first on the A♠K♠7♠ flop and Ivey threw out a small bet of 4,000. Kuznetsov and Thorel called.

Every player checked the Q♥ turn and the 5♥ appeared on the river. After Thorel checked, Ivey bet 25,000 and both of his opponents folded.

Ponakovs Gets Paid With Trips

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 5,000 from middle position before Samuel Mullur three-bet to 16,000 from the button. Once the blinds folded, Ponakovs called.

The dealer fanned out the flop of 8♦J♣4♣ and Ponakovs checked the action over to Mullur, who bet out for 25,000. Ponakovs slid in the call.

A J♠ came on the turn, and Ponakovs check-called Mullur's bet of 25,000.

When the 9♣ hit the river, Ponakovs opted to lead out for 17,000. Mullur burned through a time bank, before deciding to call.

Ponakovs turned over Q♥J♥ for trip jacks, and all Mullur could do was muck.

Thomas Muehloecker raised to 4,500 from the hijack and Espen Jorstad called from the small blind. Samuel Mullur squeezed it up to 23,000 from the big blind and forced Muehloecker to fold, but Jorstad continued with a call.

Both checked the 4♣Q♥6♣ flop and the J♠ roll off on the turn. Jorstad checked again, but Mullur bet 16,500. Jorstad called to see a river.

Jorstad checked for the last time when he saw the A♣ river, and then quickly folded when Mullur put him all in for his last 123,000.

With around 90,000 in the middle on a 10♣K♦8♣Q♦ board, both Pieter Aerts and Tom Fuchs checked to see the Q♣ pair the board on the river.

Aerts led out for 75,000, and Fuchs folded.

At the same time on the adjacent table, Wai Kiat Lee raised the button to 5,000 and Tamas Adamszki three-bet the small blind to 20,000. Nick Petrangelo called in the big blind, and Lee let his cards go.

Both checked to showdown on the 6♦7♥6♠9♦A♣ and Adamszki took it down with a pair of aces holding A♦10♣.

Punnat Punsri has also taken his seat in the Super High Roller, bringing the total number of entries to 27.
