Sturm Drags a Pot; Soft Hand-For-Hand in Action

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Thomas Muehloecker made it 30,000 from the cutoff and Leon Sturm three-bet to 100,000 from the button. When it got back to Muehloecker, he called.

The flop came 885 and after Muehloecker checked, Sturm bet 60,000. Muehloecker thought for some time, but eventually decided to give it up.

The floor have implemented a soft hand-for-hand policy, where play will be paused on one table if they are ahead in the numbers of hands play in comparison to the other.

Kenney Spikes an Ace to Double

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney jammed the button for around 230,000 and David Coleman moved all in over the top out of the small blind for around 580,000. After the big blind folded, the cards were revealed with Kenney at risk.

Bryn Kenney: A7 All in
David Coleman: 88

Kenney was behind Coleman's snowmen and needed an ace to survive.

The JQ6 flop kept Coleman in the lead, and so did the 6 turn. However, the dealer burned a card and put out the A on the river to complete the board, and give Kenney the best hand with a pair of aces.

[Removed:608] Busts Elamawy With a Hero Call

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Sameh Elamawy
Sameh Elamawy

Heads-up to the turn on a board of 6Q22 that saw [Removed:607] fire out a bet of around 50,000 from the big blind. Sameh Elamawy, who was seated on the button, raised to 150,000. [Removed:608] slid in the extra chips to call.

[Removed:608] checked it over to Elamawy when the 8 rolled off on the river, and Elamawy jammed for 260,000.

[Removed:608] tanked for a considerable amount of time, and burned through a lot of his time banks. Ultimately, he concluded that a call was best.

Elamawy immediately stood up as he knew his AK for ace-high wasn't good. [Removed:608] tabled just a pair of treys with 33, and all of Elamawy's stack was absorbed into his.

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Morten Klein
Morten Klein

Thomas Muehloecker raised to 25,000 from the hijack and Leon Sturm called out of the cutoff. Morten Klein squeezed it up to 105,000 from the button and the action folded back around to Muehloecker. Muehloecker thought for a few moments, then four-bet ripped it for roughly 400,000. Sturm folded, but Klein called for his remaining 225,000 to put himself at risk.

Morten Klein: AQ All in
Thomas Muehloecker: AK

Klein was in rough shape against the big slick of Muehloecker and was left unimproved on the 10106J7 runout. Klein vacated the tournament area, while Muehloecker moved up to 780,000.

Coleman Loses One, Wins One

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

David Coleman just played back-to-back hands, with mixed results.

In the first hand, he opened to 25,000 from middle position and then called a three-bet of 100,000 from Punnat Punsri in the small blind.

Punsri continued for 56,000 on the 8K7 flop, and Coleman let it go.

In the very next hand, Coleman made it 25,000 from under the gun and Aleksejs Ponakovs three-bet to 70,000 from the next seat. When it got back to Coleman, he shoved, and Ponakovs let it go.

Muehloecker Collects the Last of Kuznetsov's Stack

Level 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Nikita Kuznetsov
Nikita Kuznetsov

Thomas Muehloecker opened from under the gun to 25,000 and Nikita Kuznetsov shoved from the hijack for 76,000. When it got back to Muehloecker, he called.

Nikita Kuznetsov: KQ All in
Thomas Muehloecker: AK

It wasn't looking good for Kuznetsov, and despite improving to top pair on the 5K3 flop, he still had kicker issues. A J9 runout offered no help, and he hit the rail.
