Leknes Jumps Into the Chip Lead

Tobias Leknes made it 30,000 to go from the cutoff, and Martin Nielsen called out of the big blind.

The flop came 2♦Q♠8♣ and Nielsen checked it over to Leknes, who bet 25,000. Nielsen raised to 80,000, and Leknes took some time before he called.

A 9♥ fell on the turn and Nielsen continued to show strength with a bet of 175,000, but Leknes wasn't going anywhere just yet and called.

When the 3♦ fell on the river, Nielsen reached for chips and put out a bet of 500,000. Leknes had around 1,350,000 in his stack and was considering how to proceed for some time. Eventually, he did drop in the call.

Nielsen was first to show and flipped over 10♦4♦ for a total bluff, and Leknes flipped over a pair of queens with A♥Q♦ to scoop a monster pot.

Heads-up on a board of 7♣Q♦J♦5♥ and around 200,000 in the pot, Nolan King bet 60,000 from the button and Hugo Gotuzzo called in middle position.

The river was the 5♠ and King slid two towers of blue 5,000 chips into the middle for a bet of 200,000. Gotuzzo quickly called.

"Nice hand," King sighed as he tossed A♣10♠ into the muck. Gotuzzo showed K♠Q♠ for two pair to win the pot.

Kelvin Kerber opened the button to 30,000 and Artus Gimenez called on the button.

They went to a flop of 8♦6♣8♣, where Kerber check-called a bet of 30,000 from Gimenez to the 2♥ turn. Kerber checked again, then Gimenez bet 105,000. Kerber called.

A 10♣ hit the river and after Kerber checked for a third time, Gimenez shoved for just over 800,000. Kerber had around 500,000 behind and didn't hesitate to muck his cards.

"Good river?" asked Kerber.

Mantor only had around 135,000 behind, but after some time in the tank, he did elect to fold.
