Leo Worthington-Leese raised to 60,000 in early position before Sebastian Ionita three-bet to 170,000 in the hijack. Worthington-Leese called and they saw a flop of Q♥4♥7♥.
Ionita then bet 115,000 and Worthington-Leese called. Both players checked down the K♥ turn and 3♣ river, and Worthington-Leese showed Q♣J♣. Ionita, though, had A♦Q♦ and took the pot with his ace-kicker.
Hiroki Karatsu opened from middle position to 60,000 and Ramon Colillas three-bet to 180,000 in the cutoff. The action got back to Karatsu, who shoved, and Colillas called off his stack of 925,000.
Ramon Colillas: J♥J♦
Hiroki Karatsu: A♦Q♣
Both players had similar stacks, but it was Colillas who was at risk with his pocket jacks. Those jacks looked good through the 4♣6♠5♦ flop and the 7♠ turn. However, an A♥ on the river spelled the end for Colillas as Karatsu rivered a pair of aces.
Artus Gimenez and Tomasz Brzezinski checked to the turn in a blind versus blind battle and the board showing K♣6♣3♥A♣. Gimenez then bet 90,000 and Brzezinski called.
Gimenez bet another 200,000 on the 5♣ river and Brzezinski again called. Gimenez turned over J♣5♥ for a flush, and Gimenez mucked.
At another table, Leo Worthington-Leese and Evgenii Sboev were also heads up in the blinds on a board of Q♦A♦10♦9♠. Worthington-Leese then bet 130,000 and Sboev called.
The river was the 6♣ and Worthington-Leese bet 625,000. Sboev tanked for a minute and used up a few time banks before calling, and Worthington-Leese showed 8♦6♦ for a flopped flush to win the pot.
Thales Morelli raised to 60,000 in the hijack, Andre Plaza Marcano moved all in for 390,000 in the cutoff, and Morelli called.
Andre Plaza Marcano: J♦10♦
Thales Morelli: A♣9♠
The A♠6♥2♣ flop was a disaster for Plaza Marcano as Morelli hit top pair. The 5♣ turn left Plaza Marcano drawing dead, while the 4♣ river sealed his elimination.
At the same time on another table, Kevin Houghton was all in for 890,000 from the hijack and up against Marc Foggin in the small blind.
Kevin Houghton: Q♣Q♠
Marc Foggin: 8♥8♣
Houghton had Foggin crushed with his queens, and the 7♥4♣6♣2♣A♥ board proved safe enough for Houghton to double up.
Sergio Carro Marin raised to 60,000 in middle position before Damien Gayer moved all in for 435,000 on the button. Kevin Houghton was in the big blind and used up two time banks before eventually folding, but Marin snap-called.
Damien Gayer: 6♠6♦
Sergio Carro Marin: 8♥8♠
Marin had Gayer dominated, and the board ran out 10♠Q♣7♣10♦A♦ to send Gayer to the rail. Houghton then slammed the table with his hat in frustration.
"I had eights as well. This said do it. I didn't listen," Houghton said, pointing to his gut.
