The remaining 35 players have been sent on a 65-minute dinner break. Action will resume at approximately 9:15 p.m. local time and they will play one more 90-minute level when they return.
Felix Kurmayr opened from early position to 55,000 and Yohan Rascar three-bet to 140,000 on the button. The blinds folded and when it got back to Kurmayr, he shoved for 860,000. Rascar snap-called.
Felix Kurmayr: 6♥6♦
Yohan Rascar: K♠K♦
In the last hand before the dinner break, Kurmayr was at risk and way behind. No sixes arrived on the 7♥J♣Q♥ flop, and the 4♦ turn removed any backdoor outs.
An 8♣ on the river sealed the deal, and Kurmayr headed to the exit.
Julian Pineda Lozano opened to 50,000 from under the gun and Lucas Silva Rocha three-bet to 170,000 on the button. Lozano called.
Lozano checked on the flop of J♣Q♣3♥ and Rocha continued for 250,000. Lozano called. Lozano checked again on the 4♠ turn and Rocha moved all in for around 700,000.
"Good luck," Lozano said as he called with a bigger stack.
Lucas Silva Rocha: K♣9♣
Julian Pineda Lozano: A♣Q♠
Rocha needed a club, ten, or king to stay alive, but didn't hit any of them as the 3♠ bricked off to mark his elimination ahead of the dinner break.
Damien Gayer opened from under the gun and faced Alejandro Romero, who defended from the big blind.
Gayer continued for 400,000 on the 8♥Q♣2♠ flop and was called, then checked the 7♥ turn. Romero checked back.
The K♣ river landed and Romero led out for 105,000. Gayer used one time bank extension to make a decision — fold. He was moved to another table after this hand.
Around 500,000 was already in the middle when Lauri Saaskilahti and Hugo Gotuzzo went to the turn on a board of J♥2♠8♥9♦. Gotuzzo then bet 500,000 from the big blind, and Saaskilahti called on the button.
Gotuzzo checked the 9♥ river and Saaskilahti bet 500,000. Gotuzzo used up several time banks before he stood up from his chair and tossed in a chip to signify a call.
Saaskilahti turned over J♦10♦, but Gotuzzo showed A♥A♣ as he walked to the rail and looked up to the ceiling in relief as the massive pot was pushed in his direction.
At another table, Marc Foggin was all in for around 1,400,000 from the cutoff and up against Thomas Eychenne in the big blind.
Marc Foggin: A♥A♦
Thomas Eychenne: A♠K♠
Foggin was on the right side of the big cooler, and the board ran out 7♥5♦3♦4♠Q♥ to earn him a double up.
Lucas Silva Rocha raised to 50,000 in early position before Thomas Eychenne three-bet to 120,000 in the hijack. Silva Rocha then moved all in for 480,000, and Eychenne quickly called.
Lucas Silva Rocha: 5♠5♥
Thomas Eychenne: A♣K♥
Silva Rocha was racing for his tournament life and the flop came J♠9♠2♦2♠4♦, keeping his pair in the lead and earning him a double up.
At the same time at another table, Petrus Brandt was all in for 680,000 from under the gun and up against Alexandros Michas in the small blind.
Petrus Brandt: A♦K♥
Alexandros Michas: 10♥10♣
Brandt was looking to improve against Michas' tens, and the 8♦7♦Q♦ flop gave him a flush draw to go with his overcards. The 9♠ turn was no help, while the J♣ river improved Michas to a straight and sent Brandt to the rail.
Rifat Palevic opened under the gun to 50,000 with A♣Q♣ and Hiroki Karatsu called with A♥J♥ in the hijack. Joao Webber also came along from the big blind with 5♦4♣.
The flop came 6♣K♠3♥, and when the action got to Palevic, he bet 60,000. Karatsu wanted to see another card and called, then Webber, with his open-ended straight draw, also called.
A K♣ on the turn gave Palevic a flush draw, and when it got to him, he bet 110,000. Karatsu quickly folded, and Webber called,
The 8♥ river meant both players missed their draws, and Webber decided not to bluff as he checked. Palevic checked back and was happy to take it down with his ace-high.
The action was picked up on a board of 2♣3♣9♣A♦K♥ with 325,000 in the pot. Lauri Saaskilahti in the small blind overbet to 500,000, so Lars Tungel in the big blind went deep into the tank.
Tungel eventually made the call but ran into Saaskilahti's 5♥4♠ for a straight.
