Mantor Wins a Flip; Peral Sticking Around

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Tobias Leknes raised the hijack to 30,000 and Didrik Mantor made it 130,000 from the button, leaving himself just 6,000 behind. When it got back to Leknes, he shoved, and Mantor called off his last few chips.

Didrik Mantor: A9 All in
Tobias Leknes: 55

Mantor pulled ahead on the 26A flop, but needed to fade a few more outs after Leknes picked up a wheel draw on the 4 turn. An A fell on the river, which gave Mantor trips and the double-up.

In the very next hand on the same table, Sergio Peral had his last big blind in the pot and was at risk against Tomasz Brzezinski.

Sergio Peral: A9 All in
Tomasz Brzezinski: Q8

Peral's ace-high held up on the 1052JJ runout, which kept him alive, but still with a lot of work to do.

With around 250,000 in the pot on a flop of J1010, Lauri Saaskilahti bet 60,000 from the big blind and Ronnie Lemmens called on the button.

Lemmens tanked for more than a minute before calling, and Saaskilahti showed 94 for a full house to win the pot.

Woods Flops a Straight to Eliminate Talebi

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Fabiano Kovalski opened to 24,000 from middle position. Matin Talebi in the cutoff three-bet all-in for 355,000, then John Woods in the small blind jammed for 1,250,000. Kovalski folded and cards went on their backs.

Matin Talebi: AJ All in
John Woods: AK

A jack as a doorcard gave a pair to Talebi, but it was part of a flop of Q10J which completed a straight for Woods. The 72 runout didn't make them split and Talebi was eliminated.

Tungel's Stack on the Rise

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Lars Tungel
Lars Tungel

It's been a great opening level for Lars Tungel, who has grown his stack to around 1,800,000. A chunk of those chips came in a hand against Andre Plaza Marcano.

Tungel opened the button to 25,000 and Marcano flicked in the call from the big blind. They went to a flop of AAQ, where Marcano check-called a bet of 25,000 from Tungel.

Both checked the 7 turn to the 10 river, where Marcano led for 40,000. Tungel was having none of it and raised to 125,000, which Marcano quickly called.

Tungel then showed that he rivered a straight with KJ, and Marcano binned his cards.

Tazon Makes a Hero Call Against Karlsson; Karlsson Gets It Back With River Raise

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Karl Karlsson
Karl Karlsson

Javier Tazon raised to 25,000 in the cutoff, Karl Karlsson three-bet to 65,000 on the button, and Tazon called.

Both players checked the QQ7 flop. Karlsson then bet 60,000 on the 3 turn and Tazon called.

The river was the Q and Karlsson bet 100,000. Tazon used a few of his time banks before calling once more, and Karlsson showed K2 for king-high, Tazon turned over AJ and won the pot with his ace.

A few hands later, Tazon and Karlsson tangled in another pot in the blinds. On a board of 4A109 and around 300,000 in the middle, Karlsson bet 125,000 and Tazon called.

The river was the 2 and Tazon min-bet 12,000. Karlsson then raised to 200,000, and this time Tazon eventually tossed his cards away.

Jerry Odeen
Jerry Odeen

Jerry Odeen raised to 24,000 in middle position before Ferdinando D'Alessio three-bet to 66,000 in the cutoff. Odeen then moved all in for 292,000, and D'Alessio burned through two time banks before calling.

Jerry Odeen: AQ All in
Ferdinando D'Alessio: Q10

Odeen had D'Alessio dominated and was poised for a double up until the flop came J102, giving D'Alessio a pair and the lead. The turn was the 4, while the Q river improved D'Alessio to two pair and sent Odeen to the rail.

At the same time at another table, Mohamed-Said Taghla was all in for 145,000 from early position and up against Sergio Carro Marin in the small blind.

Mohamed-Said Taghla: QQ All in
Sergio Carro Marin: AK

It was a classic flip, and Taghla fell behind on the 8K5 flop as Marin spiked top pair. The rest of the board ran out 66 and Taghla's Main Event run came to an end.

Pieruzzini Falls to McEwan

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Dario Pieruzzini
Dario Pieruzzini

The action got to Dario Pieruzzini in the small blind, who limped in. Matthew McEwan was in the big blind and raised to 30,000, then Pieruzzini shoved around 200,000. McEwan quickly called.

Dario Pieruzzini: A10 All in
Matthew McEwan: AJ

Pieruzzini was way behind, but did find some chop outs on the QQ6 flop. A K on the turn added a few more ways to stay alive for Pieruzzini, but the 3 on the river meant he was out-kicked, which ended his run.
