Brutal Runout Ends Gimenez

Level 25 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Artus Gimenez
Artus Gimenez

Artus Gimenez made it 130,000 from the small blind and Thomas Eychenne defended his big blind.

On the 6K5 flop, Gimenez bet 75,000, and Eychenne called to see the J hit the turn. Gimenez put out a bet of 250,000, and again, Eychenne called.

The J completed the board and Gimenez checked. Eychenne shoved for Gimenez's remaining 655,000, and Gimenez went deep into the tank.

Gimenez used up the majority of his time bank cards before making the call for his tournament life. Eychenne revealed J2 for trip jacks on the river, which eliminated Gimenez, who showed K6 two pair.

Gimenez headed to the exit earlier than he had hoped, while Eychenne moved up to over 2,800,000.
