Savevski Sees Out Creutz

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ilija Savevski
Ilija Savevski

The action was caught after the dealer had completed the QK6105 board. With 305,000 already in the pot, Johan Creutz checked from the big blind to Ilija Savevski in the cutoff, who moved all in.

Creutz's stack of 335,000 was covered, and he quickly flicked in a call. Savevski showed K6 for two pair, which narrowly bested the K5 of Creutz, who was left empty-handed with his lesser two pair.

David Lappin open-raised to 74,000 from middle position, leaving only 10,000 behind. Nemo Israel called in the cutoff before Longmao Fan three-bet to 200,000 in the big blind.

Fan's ladies locked up the pot on the Q turn, and Lappin said his goodbyes to the table as the meaningless J river completed the board.

Stand Up Trick Does Takasugi Dirty

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Akira Takasugi opened to 20,000 from the cutoff and Mateusz Moolhuizen defended his big blind.

On the J42 flop, Moolhuizen check-raised to 33,000 over a bet of 11,000. Takasugi responded by making it 70,000, sending Moolhuizen into the tank. The Dutchman had 141,000 behind, and after counting out his stack, he decided to call.

Takasugi jammed as the slighltly bigger stack on the A turn. Moolhuizen reentered the tank, mulling over his options for several minutes. In the end, he decided to put his tournament life on the line.

Mateusz Moolhuizen: J7All in
Akira Takasugi: A6

Mollhuizen, seeing he was behind, immediately left his chair. However, he was forced to sit back down as the J river gave him the winner with trips.

Takasugi was left with 13,000, and moved all-in on the next deal. Nariman Yaghmai made it 30,000 from the button which forced out the blinds.

Akira Takasugi: J8All in
Nariman Yaghmai: Ax3x

Takasugi managed to double after the K5410J runout, but his spin-up was short lived as he bowed out a few hands later.
