Antonio Merone raised it to 125,000 under the gun. Gerard Carbo then put in a three-bet to 390,000 in the cutoff, which Merone four-bet to 975,000 once it had folded back to him.
After some thought, Carbo moved all in in response. Merone had put about a third of his stack in by four-betting, but he found a fold to award Carbo the pot without the need for a showdown
Nemo Israel opened to 120,000 early position. Francesco Di Profio called from the next seat over and Merijn van Rooij came along from the big blind.
The 4♦6♥7♣ flop checked through to the A♦ turn. Van Rooij checked before Israel bet 150,000. Di Profio folded and then Van Rooij made it 450,000. Israel called.
Van Rooij sized up to 1,045,000 on 5♠ river, sending Israel deep into the tank. Israel had 1,150,000 left and he mulled over his options for several minutes before the clock was called. Just before the clock struck zero, Israel called.

Van Rooij rivered a straight to leapfrog Israel's set of fours, and took in the sizable pot.
On the next deal, Israel put in his last 105,000. Di Profio, Siarhei Sochneu and Corentin Soulier called.
It checked through to Sochneu on the turn for the board to read A♥Q♥J♥5♣. Sochneu bet 250,000, which pushed out the two other players.

Israel hada gutshot to Broadway but exited in 27th place after the 7♥ river gave Sochneu two pair.
Sebastian Mortensen opened the action with a raise to 120,000 under the gun. It folded to Gerard Carbo in the big blind, who three-bet to 405,000. Mortensen called to the J♥A♠J♦ flop, where Carbo continued for 90,000.
Mortensen slid in another call, seeing Carbo size up to 170,000 on the 3♥ turn. Mortensen switched gears and raised to 475,000. Carbo called after weighing his options, seeing the 5♦ river complete the board.
After Carbo checked, Mortensen moved all in for 735,000. Carbo spent a few minutes in the tank, cutting out a call while counting the rest of his chips. Eventually, he announced a call.
Mortensen could only table a pair of tens with 10♠10♣. Carbo had looked him up with K♥K♦ for a pair of kings, and his daring call awarded him a huge pot to knock Mortensen out of the PokerStars Open.
"Please don't jam," Mateusz Moolhuizen said to Tom Fuchs after the action folded to the latter in the small blind. Fuchs didn’t comply and moved all in for 1,210,000. Moolhuizen took a moment before calling to put his opponent at risk.

"How do you have that?" asked Moolhuizen as his chips went to his opponent after the ace-queen held on the K♣5♠4♥K♦2♣.
"Silly game, stupid game," muttered Moolhuizen, with Scott Margereson wholeheartedly agreeing with his tablemate.
"Is your girlfriend pregnant too?" Moolhuizen continued, referencing the baby rungood superstition among poker players.
"No," replied Fuchs.
"She might be after tonight," Moolhuizen answered back as he continued to shake his head in disgust.
In a blind-on-blind battle, Antonio Merone and Angelo Vietti had reached the 4♦Q♠5♥6♥ turn, where Merone got his stack of 1,250,000 in the middle for an all-in. Vietti looked him up, and the players tabled their cards.

Vietti's two pair was drawing dead against the top set of Merone, who was awarded the massive double-up as soon as the 3♦ river had completed the board.

"Unlucky Barney," said Hallaert as he whiffed the 9♥8♥2♦ flop. However, the 10♥ turn gave him a gutshot to keep his hopes alive. The 7♥ river gave Boatman a flush for the checkmark, and he sent out his former colleague.
Francesco Di Profio jammed for 835,000 from early position and Corentin Soulier called from the big blind.
