Spieckermann Falls to Sybirtsev

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Claus Spieckermann
Claus Spieckermann

Claus Spieckermann moved all in for 400,000 on the button and Oleksandr Sybirtsev called in the small blind.

Claus Spieckermann: 76 All in
Oleksandr Sybirtsev: AJ

Spieckermann put his angel figurine on top of his cards as he awaited the flop, which came 1010K. The rest of the 84 board was no help, and Sybirtsev took the pot with his ace-high to send Spieckermann to the rail.

Spieckermann left the table so quickly that he left the figurine behind, and Fahredin Mustafov had to call him back. "It's your bounty," Spieckermann joked.

Level 27 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Mahersh Selvakumaran raised to 120,000 under the gun and Marcello Miniucchi called in the small blind.

The flop came K107 and Selvakumaran bet 115,000. Miniucchi then moved all in for 500,000, and Selvakumaran quickly folded.

At another table, Radoslav Stoyanov had bet 250,000 from the button on a board of 5J1010 and Vitezslav Cech called in middle position.

The river was the A and Stoyanov moved all in for 1,100,000. Cech tanked for a few minutes until giving up his hand, and Stoyanov took the pot.

Poroliev Drags Three-Bet Pot

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Yoshihiro Inoue made it 100,000 to go from middle position. Ivan Poroliev upped the ante to 425,000 from the small blind, and Inoue called.

Poroliev's continuation-bet of 250,000 was enough to take down the pot, as Inoue swiftly folded just before the players were sent on a break.

Morstoel Catches the Break

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Matthias Auer opened to 100,000 on the button and Claudio Di Giacomo made it 350,000.

Thor Morstoel was in the big blind and sunk into the tank. The floor was called, and he was given 30 seconds to act.

Morstoel eventually mucked his hand and the Auer was quick to follow. Di Giacomo still had his hand in front of him and peeled back his cards to show Morstoel.

Di Giacomo had pocket aces and Morstoel remarked "I was so close to calling", and he was secure with his remaining chips, seeing it into another Day 3 break.

When asked by another player at the table what he folded, Morstoel continued with "I had King-Queen"

Lofberg Keeps Climbing; Hurwitz Finishes Off Kalev

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Petar Kalev
Petar Kalev

Shahar Levi raised to 100,000 in the hijack before Simon Lofberg three-bet to 325,000 in the cutoff. Levi then four-bet to 850,000, and Lofberg called.

The flop came K910 and Levi continued for 625,000. Lofberg called, and they both checked the 2 turn.

The 9 river was also checked down, and Levi showed AJ. Lofberg turned over QQ and took in the pot.

At another table, Petar Kalev shoved for 300,000 in the small blind and Ben Hurwitz snap-called in the big blind.

Petar Kalev: 84 All in
Ben Hurwitz: KK

Kalev had run into Hurwitz's kings and picked up some outs on the 1042 flop with a pair, but he improved no further on the J turn and Q river, and the start-of-day chip leader was sent to the rail. Shortly before, Clyde Tjauw Foe had also busted.
