"Very tight range. I play seven percent from under the gun," Patrik Jaros said as he opened to 3,500 first to act. Ole Schemion called in early position, as did Dimitar Danchev in the small blind.
Action checked to Schemion on the 8♥8♦7♦ flop and he bet 3,500. Only Danchev called. Both players then checked the 3♦ turn.
Schemion then bet 12,500 on the Q♠ river, but this time Danchev came back with a raise to 34,000. Schemion shook his head and took a minute before giving up his hand.
Danchev allowed Schemion to choose one of his cards, and Schemion picked the 7♥. Despite dropping that pot, Schemion has built up a stack of around 300,000 so far today.

Players were already on the river, with Elias Suhonen in middle position and Marcin Horecki in the cutoff. The pair were looking at a 4♥K♠9♦K♣6♣ board and the pot stood at around 55,000.
Suhonen had moved all in, putting Horecki in a position to either fold, or call off his remaining ~40,000 stack.
Horecki took at least a few minutes, and was taking his time, pressing Suhonen with questions, but getting nothing back.
Eventually, Horecki moved in his stack to call.
Marcin Horecki: 9♥6♥
Elias Suhonen: 4♦4♠
Suhonen had flopped a set and turned a boat, which was ahead of Horecki's two pair. Horecki stood from the table and said "Nice hand" before walking away from the tournament area.
Another player at the table remarked to Suhonen, "I had king-six offsuit and I wanted to see if you had fours or nines... or a big bluff".

With the board reading 4♥6♦J♠ and a bit less than 15,000 in the middle, Nan Zhang bet 3,500 from under the gun and Peter Majoros shoved from the button, covering Zhang who had around 20,000 behind.
"I can beat jack-ten" Zhang commented before calling off for his tournament life.
Nan Zhang: J♥Q♣
Peter Majoros: A♠J♦
Zhang had top pair but was dominated by Majoros with top pair, top kicker. He found no help as the rest of the board ran out A♦K♠ and exited the tournament area.

The stage was set last December for an epic battle inside the Hilton Prague, and it delivered in every way possible. Six players returned for the final day, and only one walked away a champion. In the end, it was Pedro Marques who outlasted a record-breaking field of 1,458 and toppled the seemingly unstoppable Paul Runcan to claim the 2024 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague €5,300 Main Event title.
For Marques, the victory was more than just another tournament win. "It’s an amazing, special feeling. One of the best days of my life, for sure," he said after securing the title and a €963,450 payout following a heads-up deal with Runcan. The Portuguese star, ranked second on his country’s all-time money list, added, "Winning a Main Event is completely different from any of my other wins—it’s a really special moment."

Zakaria El Khattal raised to 5,000 in middle position and James Smyth moved all in for 37,000 in the cutoff. Carlo Wolters also shoved in the small blind, and El Khattal got out of the way.
James Smyth: A♦K♥
Carlo Wolters: A♥Q♦
Smyth had Wolters dominated, and the 10♣3♦6♦9♠K♦ board improved him to top pair to lock up the pot. Wolters got up to leave the table, but a recount showed he had 1,500 remaining and he had to be called back.

Sho Homma was already up from the table, having been eliminated by his neighbor Oleg Vasylchenko. Homma started the day with 30,000 chips, having late registered just before the start of the day.
Sho Homma: A♥10♠
Oleg Vasylchenko: 9♠9♣
The 2x2x8x9xQx board was only good for Vasylchenko, and Homma hit the rail in the first level of the day.
Homma won't be leaving Prague empty-handed as he already took down the €2,700 PokerStars Open High Roller, earning €454,385 after topping a massive field of 1,115 players.

Adam Geyer had taken a tumble from the start of the day, loosing around half his stack as he sat with around 70,000 chips.
He opened the button for 3,500 and saw Jeffrey Sarwer three-bet to 15,000 from the small blind. Geyer made it 28,000 and Sarwer moved all in.
Geyer snap-called and showed pocket aces, and Sarwer said "Aces... ok" and turned over his ace-king off suit.
Adam Geyer: A♣A♦
Jeffrey Sarwer: A♥K♠
Geyer stayed ahead on the 6♣7♥J♦7♣6♠ runout, securing a double up, recovering his stack and putting him back to just over what he started Day 2 with.
