The action was picked up on the flop as the board fanned out 10♦9♠6♠ with about 35,000 already in the pot. Sanghoon Choi led the hijack for 18,000, and Merijn van Rooij called from the small blind, while Gabriele Guerrini folded his big blind.
Both players checked the K♦ turn and went on to the 2♠ river.
Van Rooij then moved all in, putting Choi at risk for his remaining 52,000. Choi went deep into the tank, using one time bank card before finally finding the fold and leaving the pot to van Rooij.
Aram Sargsyan opened to 10,000 in the hijack. Zoltan Vrancsik flat-called on the button, after which Dimitrios Gkatzas squeezed in his stack of 121,000 from the small blind.
Sargsyan announced a call after some thought, while Vrancsik quickly got out of the way.
Dimitrios Gkatzas: A♣K♦
Aram Sargsyan: A♦Q♠
Neither player improved on the J♥5♠9♥4♣6♠ board. Gkatzas' ace-king remained the best hand, and he raked in a double-up to reach an average stack.
Heads-up on a flop of Q♦8♣3♦, Barak Wisbrod bet 10,000 from the button before Quan Zhou raised to 35,000 in the cutoff. Wisbrod then moved all in, and Zhou called for his last 120,000.
Quan Zhou: A♦5♦
Barak Wisbrod: A♥8♦
Wisbrod was ahead with his pair of eights, while Zhou was on a flush draw. The turn was the 6♣, while Zhou couldn't connect with the 10♣ river and was sent to the rail.
Players were in a ~150,000 pot and already on the turn looking at the 4♣10♥8♣2♣ board.
Chady Ojeil was sitting in the blinds and heads up against Tobias Peters in a late position. Ojeil was all-in for his remaining 150,000 and action was on Peters who made the call.
Chady Ojeil: 10♦10♠
Tobias Peters: 2♥2♠
Both players had a set but, Ojeil was ahead with a set of tens.
There was no change for Ojeil after the 4♦ was placed, and Peters took a significant tumble, from the start of the day.
He remarked after the hand to the table, "Ah you win some, you lose some, it's the same thing".
Aram Sargsyan raised to 10,000 in the hijack, Iraklis Manikaros moved all in from the big blind, and Sargsyan called for 86,000.
Aram Sargsyan: A♦K♥
Iraklis Manikaros: K♦K♣
Sargsyan needed to improve against Manikaros' kings to stay alive, but he missed the 10♣J♠6♠ flop. The turn, though, brought the A♠ and Sargsyan took the lead with top pair. The river was the 5♦ and Manikaros sent over the double up.
Luigi Pignataro raised to 11,000 on the button, Ole Schemion moved all in from the big blind, and Pignataro called for 85,000.
Luigi Pignataro: A♠J♠
Ole Schemion: K♣Q♥
Pignataro remained in the lead on the 9♦2♠9♣ flop, but Schemion hit the K♦ on the turn to make two pair and leave Pignataro at risk of elimination. The river, though, came the A♣ and Pignataro improved to aces and nines to win the pot and double up.
Ignacio Cuesta started the day with under six big blinds, of which he tossed in his last one on the button. Gianfranco Iaculli isolated in the small blind, and the two were ordered to show down.
Ignacio Cuesta: A♦8♣
Gianfranco Iaculli: A♠J♣
Iaculli's superior ace remained best as the 9♣2♠5♣4♣4♦ runout helped neither player, sending Cuesta to the exit with an extra €1,250 courtesy of the pay jump he reached.
Roman Stoica limped in from the small blind before Nikolay Ponomarev raised to 15,000 in the big blind. Stoica called, and the flop came A♠5♠6♣.
Ponomarev then bet 12,000 and Stoica called. Both players checked the 3♥ turn, and Stoica then moved all in on the 5♥ river. Ponomarev called for his last 66,000.
Stoica showed 9♠4♠ for a missed flush draw, while Ponomarev had K♣K♦ to win the pot and double up.
At another table, Ryan Mandara and Ivan Uzunov arrived at the river on a board of 8♠2♣10♣Q♣5♦ when Mandara bet 160,000 from the big blind. Uzunov called in middle position, and Mandara showed A♣9♣ for the nut flush. Uzunov sent K♣8♣ into the muck, and Mandara raked in the big pot.
Bartosz Jablonski checked the 10♦A♣8♠K♦4♣ river from the small blind to David Hu in the hijack. With about 100,000 in the pot, Hu put Jablonski all-in for his 75,000 remaining chips.
Jablonski snap-called, but his A♥J♦ was outclassed by Hu's A♠8♣ for two pair, spelling the end of Jablonski's EPT Prague Main Event.
