Worthington-Leese Begins His Spin; Konnikova Not So Fortunate

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Leo Worthington-Leese
Leo Worthington-Leese

Max Bashlawi raised to 8,000 from under the gun, and when the action folded to Leo Worthington-Leese in the big blind, he moved all-in for 38,000, which Bashlawi called.

Leo Worthington-Leese: JJ All in
Max Bashlawi: KJ

Bashlawi picked up eight more outs on the 10Q3 flop, but when the 5 turn and 8 river bricked out, Worthington-Leese pulled in a double-up.

Shortly after, at the same table, Maria Konnikova ran ace-queen into pocket aces preflop and didn't survive the collision, bringing her Main Event to an end.

'"Ship it to Papa! I'm Papa!"

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Nicholas Palma
Nicholas Palma

Arturo Rodriguez raised from middle position to 10,000, and Kalman Dohany called from the cutoff. Nicholas Palma committed his final 3,000 from the small blind before pulling his shirt up over his mouth and neck, making sure his opponents weren't going to pick up any reads. Antoine Vranken then came along from the big blind.

With Palma all-in, the three players checked the Q910 flop, and Palma was quick to question the lack of aggression.

"Are these guys all friends?" he jokingly asked.

"They want me out; that's how good I am," he continued, getting some laughs from the table.

The 6 fell on the turn, and Vranken checked again. Rodriguez bet 15,000, and only Vranken called.

Two more checks came on the 4 river, and Vranken turned over J7 for jack-high. Rodriguez showed KQ to at least claim the side pot, but it was time for Palma's big reveal.

He slammed down AQ for top pair, top kicker, to keep his seat, before bellowing, "Ship it to Papa! I'm Papa!"

Axel Hilmisson: QQ All in
Andrea Dato: AK

Fournier's Kings Hold Up

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Alexandre Fournier got his stack of 69,000 into the middle from the small blind, with Gilbert Diaz trying to bust him from the button.

Alexandre Fournier: KK All in
Gilbert Diaz: AQ

Diaz picked up a flush draw on the 3310 flop, but it didn't materialize through the 7 turn or 7 river, allowing Fournier to double up with his cowboys.

Tavares Removes Another

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Nicola Bordignon was all-in and at risk for roughly 80,000 from the hijack. Gabriel Tavares was the player who had him in danger of elimination from the big blind.

Nicola Bordignon: 88 All in
Gabriel Tavares: AK

The 3K5 flop moved Tavares into the lead, and when the 6 turn and 9 river didn't change anything, Bordignon was eliminated.

Mohamed Zazri Bubbles 2026 EPT Barcelona Main Event

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Mohamed Zazri
Mohamed Zazri

Mohamed Zazri flicked in his final 10,000 in early position. Josep Ruiz was the only interested party, and he called on the button. Once all other tables had finished their hands and the cameras had arrived, the cards were tabled.

Mohamed Zazri: 55 All in
Josep Ruiz: A8

Zazri remained ahead on the JQK flop. The K turn brought counterfeit outs for Ruiz, and he spiked an ace on the A river to send Zazri home.

Zazri quickly vacated the tournament area in 272nd place, bubbling the 2026 EPT Barcelona Main Event.

Kaladjurdjevic Survives Scare to Stay Alive

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
EPT Barcelona 2026 Main Event Bubble - Dejan Kaladjurdjevic
EPT Barcelona 2026 Main Event Bubble - Dejan Kaladjurdjevic

Dejan Kaladjurdjevic moved all-in for 19,000 from the button, and Luca Topazio called in the big blind, putting him at risk.

Dejan Kaladjurdjevic: K10 All in
Luca Topazio: 106

Both players improved to top pair on the 4103 flop, but crucially for Kaladjurdjevic, his kicker kept him in the lead. The 5 turn was a sweaty one for Kaladjurdjevic, though, as Topazio picked up a straight draw. The 9 river was a brick, and Kaladjurdjevic was the latest player to survive on the bubble.

Brutal River Soft Bubbles Sidhu

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
EPT Barcelona 2026 Main Event Bubble
EPT Barcelona 2026 Main Event Bubble

Kully Sidhu jammed for 14,000 from middle position, and Alexander Yen called from the big blind.

Kully Sidhu: A7 All in
Alexander Yen: Q9

Sidhu was slightly ahead with ace-high against the queen-high of Yen.

Sidhu stayed in front on the 663 flop and J turn.

Only a queen or nine would send Sidhu to the rail as the soft bubble, and one arrived as the Q rolled off on the river, sending Sidhu to the rail just shy of the money.

With Sidhu's elimination, the tournament was on the direct bubble.

Cantiani Cracks Kings to Stay Alive

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Graziano Cantiani moved all-in for 23,000 from early position and was at risk of elimination when Oliver Wulf called from the button.

Graziano Cantiani: A9 All in
Oliver Wulf: KK

The 9103 flop offered Cantiani a couple of extra outs, but it was the A that came to his rescue on the turn. The 2 river had no effect, and Cantiani's place in the Main Event was secure.
