Syzghanov Fades Karim's Outs to Double

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Three ways to the turn on a board of 5692, Michel Karim led out for 18,000 from the big blind, and Yakiv Syzghanov jammed for 90,000 from the cutoff. Jonas ten Cate folded the button, but Karim reluctantly called.

Yakiv Syzghanov: A9 All in
Michel Karim: 75

Syzghanov was ahead with top pair against Karim's pair and straight draw.

The A river improved Syzghanov to two pair, securing him the double-up and keeping his seat in the Main Event.

Matas Cimbolas under the gun and Xiaosheng Zheng on the button had built a substantial pot of 270,000 when they arrived on the 4655 turn. Cimbolas moved all in for 217,000, and Zheng sighed as he called the bet.

Matas Cimbolas: AA All in

Quads for a Million! Player Turns $5 into $1M in PokerStars Spin & Go

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
PokerStars Spin & Go
PokerStars Spin & Go

More than 87% of the time, anyone who enters a $5 buy-in Spin & Go tournament online at PokerStars will be playing for a prize pool of either double or three times their buy-in. However, a recent $5 Spin & Go was special because the 240,000x jackpot multiplier was triggered, meaning the trio of entrants was playing for a gargantuan $1.2 million prize pool. The chances of that happening? 0.10 in a million!

PokerStars Spin & Go tournaments are a winner-takes-all when the prize pool multiplier is between 2x and 5x. The top two finishers win a slice of the pie when a 10x is hit, with anything 25x or larger paying out all three entrants.

When "KuCoH" of Belarus, Brazil's "malakaio300," and Denmark's "dillerfar19" bought into a $5 Spin & Go, the prize pool selector stopped on the ultra-rare 240,000x!

Angelescu Takes Down a Multi-Way Pot

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Nacho Barbero raised under the gun to 12,000, with Victor Angelescu calling from the next seat and Arnaud Enselme coming along from the hijack.

Everyone was happy to check through the 4AK flop to see the 3 on the turn. Barbero checked for a second time, while Angelescu bet 15,000. Enselme called, and Barbero got out of the way.

Two checks followed on the 9 river, and Angelescu took down the pot with AQ for a pair of aces.

Jonathan Rosa raised 12,000 in the cutoff, and Kalidou Sow responded with a three-bet to 38,000 on the button. Ivo Colaco then four-bet to 64,000 from the big blind. Rosa let his cards go, but Sow called.

The 38J flop saw Colaco check before calling when Sow bet 50,000. Colaco checked again on the 8 turn, and Sow continued with another bet, this time for 130,000. Colaco used a time extension before asking Sow, "Will you show if I fold?" Sow offered no response, and when Colaco folded AK face up, Sow returned his cards to the dealer face down.

Alexandre Guibon
Alexandre Guibon

When it folded to Alexandre Guibon in the small blind, he jammed for about 85,000 and was snap-called by Andres Pereyra in the big blind.

Alexandre Guibon: 44 All in
Andres Pereyra: AJ

Guibon was in a race for his tournament life, but he didn't seem too confident as he was already up and putting on his jacket before the cards came out.

His crystal ball was working as the J52 flop gave Pereyra the lead with a pair of jacks.

No help came for Guibon on the 7 turn or Q river, and with his jacket already on, he made his way to collect his payout.

All's Bueno That Ends Bueno

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Claudia Bueno
Claudia Bueno

Claudia Bueno's stack of 157,000 got into the middle from the big blind, with Matheus Machado trying to end her Main Event from early position.

Claudia Bueno: AQ All in
Matheus Machado: 1010

Bueno was flipping for her tournament life, and the 10 in the window looked like it spelled disaster. However, the flop was completed by the KJ to give Bueno a Broadway straight.

Machado wasn't waving the white flag just yet, as the 3 turn gave him a flush draw and some extra ways to spoil Bueno's party.

The 7 river was a complete brick, though, keeping Bueno's Main Event journey alive.
