Wang Scoops in Another

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Boris Pesic opened to 3,000 from under the gun and faced a three-bet to 9,000 from Yuhan Wang in the cutoff. The action folded back to Pesic, who called.

Both players checked on the connected 1079 flop, and the dealer added the 8 turn to the board.

Pesic took over the betting lead with a bet of 6,000, but Wang took the opportunity to raise, putting 18,000 into the middle.

After a brief moment's thought, Pesic released his cards back to the dealer.

Kuznetsov on Piles After Annihilating Armougom's Stack; Jorstad Loses Last Chips

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Nikita Kuznetsov
Nikita Kuznetsov

With around 13,000 in the pot on a heads-up AK10 flop, Jimmy Armougom had made it 15,000 to go, and Nikita Kuznetsov moved all in. Armougom debated for a while before calling off his stack of 105,000, being covered by his opponent.

Jimmy Armougom: A10 All in
Nikita Kuznetsov: AA

The J turn brought Armougom flush outs as well as some opportunities for a chop, but the 8 river bricked off to decide the massive pot in Kuznetsov's favor.

Not much later, Espen Jorstad moved in his last 15,000 or so from the big blind and was called by Oshri Lahmani in the cutoff.

Espen Jorstad: AJ All in
Oshri Lahmani: AK

Jorstad needed to hit a gutshot after the K109 flop, but it was not to be as the 46 runout remained clean for Lahmani.

Defending champion Aleksandr Shevliakov and start-of-day chip leader Paraskevas Tsokaridis were in a blind-on-blind battle. With 13,500 in the pot, they
arrived on the KQ86 turn.

Shevliakov bet 4,000, which Tsokaridis raised to 15,500. Shevliakov then three-bet to 33,000, and Tsokaridis called. Shevliakov checked once the A fell on the river, prompting Tsokaridis to put his opponent all-in for 47,500.

Shevliakov did not take long before mucking his cards, and Tsokaridis soared across the 400,000-mark by winning the pot.

Buttner Oversight Leads to Double Knockout

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Georges Zeina limped in from early position, and when action folded to Vitalijs Korhs on the button, he moved all in for 13,500. Alan Buttner called in the big blind, and Zeina stuck around too.

The dealer spread a 10Q9 flop, which saw Buttner check, and Zeina bet 38,500, leaving just 1,500 behind. Buttner called.

The action checked through on the 9 turn, and the 8 river completed the board.

Buttner moved all in, covering the 1,500 in Zeina's stack, who called.

Korhs flipped over A4, and Zeina flipped over two pair with KQ. However, neither player could beat the straight of Buttner, who revealed his J6.

Buttner let the table know that he hadn't seen Zeina limp in and thought he was closing the action when he called the all-in preflop.

Wang Holds to Eliminate Tabibzadeh

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Axel Bayout raised to 3,000 in the cutoff, and Seyed Tabibzadeh called in the small blind. Next to act, in the big blind, Yuhan Wang three-bet to 12,000, which both players called.

The dealer spread a JKA flop, which Tabibzadeh seemed to like, as he moved all in for 21,000. Wang called, and Bayout folded.

Moragues Turns Chop Into Winner

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Small blind Joan Moragues and Andrej Tekel on the button were heads up on the 910JK turn. With 38,500 in the pot, Moragues checked it over to Tekel. Tekel then bet 22,000, and Moragues called.

After a bit of thought, Moragues checked the 7 river as well. Tekel quickly moved all in, and Moragues snap-called for his stack of 45,500.

Tekel turned over Q8 for a straight, but Moragues had rivered a flush with his Q9 and was awarded a sizable double-up. Tekel, meanwhile, was left with about 15 big blinds.
