Ojeil Hangs On to Bust Fazio

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Olivier Fazio
Olivier Fazio

Paul Runcan raised to 24,000 in middle position and was called by Felix Schneiders in the cutoff, as well as Olivier Fazio and Chady Ojeil in the blinds.

All four players checked the 965 flop. Ojeil then bet 75,000 on the 10 turn, and the table folded around to Fazio who moved all in. Ojeil snap-called.

Ojeil showed 1010 for a set, while Fazio had KJ for straight and flush draws. The 2 river was no help, and Ojeil secured the pot.

The stacks were counted down, and Ojeil had Fazio's remaining 300,000 covered to earn the knockout.

"Celebrate a little bit," Runcan said to Ojeil after the hand.

"I'm always happy," Ojeil replied.

Angelina Rich got in her last 100,000 from the button, and Manuel Carvalho put her at risk in early position.

Angelina Rich: AQ All in
Manuel Carvalho: 77

Rich took the lead on the KQ3 flop with a pair of queens, while the 8 turn left her a card away from a double up. The river, though, came the 7 and Carvalho spiked a set to send Rich to the rail.

"Always coming seven," tablemate Felix Schneiders said.

"That was from like three years ago," Carvalho replied.

"Still applies," Schneiders added.

"One under. Eights," Toma admitted as Seire had Perrone dominated with his tens. The board ran out K53AQ, and Seire remained in the lead to send Perrone to the rail.

Shortly after, Kayhan Mokri was seen leaving the tournament area as he had become the first elimination after the dinner break.

Sami Bechahed
Sami Bechahed

Diogo Duarte three-bet to 110,000 in the big blind, and Sami Bechahed called under the gun.

The flop came 672 and Duarte continued for 140,000. Bechahed called, and the 5 fell on the turn.

"This is a huge pot," tablemate Alex Keating said, as the other players all got up to go on dinner break.

Duarte then moved all in for 492,000.

"Where are the video cameras?" Keating added as Bechahed went deep into the tank.

"F**k it," he eventually said, slamming in the chips to call.

He turned over 88, but Duarte had turned two pair with 65.

"Deuce, eight, four, or a nine," Bechahed pleaded, and he spiked the 2 on the river to make a better two pair and take down the biggest pot of the tournament.

"I can't even eat now. He had 50K when I got to the table. Now he's chip leader of the whole tournament," Keating added, as Bechahed and Duarte exchanged a hug before Duarte headed to the rail, while Bechahed was pushed the massive pile of chips.

"Table of death, just like yesterday. Started with eight, left with three," Diogo Duarte added as only he, Bechahed, and Jakub Sterba remained at the table from those who started the day.
