Negreanu Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu was down to just 15,000 and he moved all in with {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs} but ran into another player's {K-}{Q-}. A distinct lack of sevens and clubs meant that the Team PokerStars Pro was knocked out.

Klann Gone

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

2013 L.A. Poker Classics winner Paul Klann has been eliminated.

He opened under the gun, and got three bet by the player on the button to 7,200. Klann four bet to 18,200, and called the shove that followed. Klann had {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, which was in pretty terrible shape against the buttons {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}.

The {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{J-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board didn't help anyone, and Klann made his way to the exit.

The Cutoff Given the Finger

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Martin Finger
Martin Finger

We just got news of the biggest pot of the tournament, thanks to Martin Finger spilling all the details to our German PokerStars Blog colleague.

The player in the cutoff opened, and Martin Finger made it 13,000 from the button holding {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Both blinds folded, but Finger's opponent wasn't willing to let go of his hand so easily. The cutoff four bet to 39,000 and Finger made the call in position.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the cutoff bet out 40,000. Finger made the call.

The {Q-Hearts} fell on the turn and Finger's opponent pushed all in for 140,000. Finger made the call for his tournament life holding... {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Finger had his remaining 104,300 in the middle, but would soon get those all back times two, as his opponent had {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The river came the {9-Spades} and Finger doubled to the absolute chip lead.

The German High Stakes player won the EPT Prague a couple of seasons ago, and also already has a Super High Roller title under his belt.

Schemion Stare

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

The flop was {k-Spades}{a-Spades}{5-Spades} and Ole Schemion had called a bet of 7,200. Another player involved folded so it was heads-up to the turn card {10-Diamonds}. It was checked to Schemion who gave his man a stare and checked behind.

The river was the {7-Clubs} and Schemion faced a bet of 14,400. He took several minutes to make his mind up, staring hard at his opponent, counting out the calling chips before banging them on the table in front of him and reluctantly throwing his hand away.
