GG Spring Festival

The second week of the 2021 GG Spring Festival is approaching the business end. This is also the case for one of the flagship tournaments, as two starting days remain for the GGSF Super MILLION$ ME-H: $10,300. So far, the special edition of the weekly high-stakes showdown has attracted a field of 610 entries, and 75 players qualified for Day 2.

All those unhappy with their stacks so far or everyone that hasn't claimed chips yet for Day 2 can enter Day 1d, which kicks off at 6.05 pm GMT. The structure remains the same as in all other previous three flights and 22 levels of 20 minutes each are scheduled. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available for six hours in total and Day 1d should last approximately eight and a half hours.

The participants receive 100,000 in chips, good enough for 200 big blinds in the first level at 250-500 and a running ante of 60. Everyone receives a 45 seconds time bank, which will be stocked up by another 15 seconds for every hour of play.

India's "level29" has accumulated the most chips thus far across the first three starting days with 2,276,011, and they are followed by Sergio Aido (1,978,059) and Mike Watson (1,921,636). Whether or not anyone will be able to boost their stack further remains to be seen.

Among the early entries for Day 1d are GGPoker ambassador Felipe Ramos, Alex Foxen, Bryan Paris, Markus Prinz, Idris Ambraisse, Igor D'Ursel, Renan Bruschi, Joseph Cheong, and Daniel Smiljkovic.

Stay tuned to follow the live updates right here on PokerNews to find out who will run up their stack for a chance at the $10 million guarantee.

Big Pot for Mateos

Level 1 : 250/500, 60 ante

Adrian Mateos opened to 1,100 and "for3ver" three-bet to 3,700 from one seat over in the hijack, which the Spaniard called. On the {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Mateos check-called for 3,535 and opted to do so again for 18,480 on the {6-Clubs} turn. Mateos checked the {a-Spades} river and "for3ver" checked behind to see their {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} no good, as Mateos had improved with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.
