Wendy, Meet the 'Mad Turk'

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante
Wendy Watson (l) and Yucel Eminoglu
Wendy Watson (l) and Yucel Eminoglu

"What's your name?" Yucel Eminoglu asked Wendy Watson. "They call me the Turk."

On the very next hand, John Bousfield opened and Wendy Watson called in the small blind.

"I'm going to raise because I haven't played a pot with this guy in a long time," said Eminoglu in the big blind. "I play big pots against good players and small pots against bad players." He raised to 5,200. Bousfield folded but Watson called.

"You call!" said Eminoglu. "I guess that makes you a good player."

The flop came {9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and Watson immediately bet out 5,000 and Eminoglu looked stunned.

"Sorry!" she said. "Do what you like," she said to Eminoglu.

"Bloody hell Wendy!" said Eminoglu, who folded. Watson showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades} and took down the pot.

Three players were still in the hand on a {5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop and two checked to Wendy Watson. She bet 3,000 and Masoud Etemadi then raised to 7,000. The third player folded and Watson quickly called.

The turn was the {7-Clubs}. Etemadi checked and Watson shoved for 25,800.

"I can't fold top pair, top kicker can I?" said Etemadi.

"Don't fold!" said Watson. "Whatever you do!"

Eventually Etemadiheri did fold, and Watson proudly rolled over {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for two pair.

Le Busts to Allen

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Tan Le had a bet of 4,000 in front of him on a {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} board, but had been put all in by Jack Allen. Le had 10,000 behind and eventually called with {q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for top pair, but Allen had him beat with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

The turn {k-Spades} and river {k-Hearts} eliminated Le and Allen moved above 40,000 in chips.
