Law Pays Off Geilich

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Ludovic Geilich {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} opened to 160,00 and Harry Law defended his big blind. The flop was {9-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Law check-called 80,000.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and again it checked to Geilich who bet 185,000. Law made the quick call with top pair and the river brought the {3-Hearts} completing a flush for Geilich.

Law checked for the third time and watched as Geilich bet 685,000.

Law counted out his stack and rechecked his cards before calling. Geilich showed him his flush and the Scot took down the pot.

One Outer Saves Geilich From Elimination

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

D A raised to 160,000 from under the gun with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Timothy Chung {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} three-bet to 375,000 on the button. Ludovic Geilich four-bet all in for 1.3 million with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

D A moved all in and Chung folded.

Geilich was in bad shape with only 13% equity against the bigger pocket pair. The flop {j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and turn {2-Spades} didn't help him, but he spiked a one outer on the {10-Spades} river to stay alive.

Colin Gillon Eliminated in 6th Place (£21,550)

Colin Gillon
Colin Gillon

D A raised to 180,000 from under the gun. Colin Gillon three-bet all in for 525,000 and D A called.

Colin Gillon: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
D A: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Gillon was hoping to come from behind to stay alive in the GUKPT London Main Event, but the board came {6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{a-Spades} giving his opponent a full house. Gillon was eliminated, taking home £21,550.

Gillon's Triple Barrel Bluff Called

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Colin Gillon opened to 160,000 from the hijack and the big blind called. On the {j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, the big blind check-called a bet of 100,000.

They did the same on the {3-Clubs} turn, this time the bet was 450,000. Again they check-called after gollin bet 725,000 on the {2-Clubs} river.

Gollin had nine-high with his {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} while the big blind held the {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} for top pair.

Geilich Survives After Chopped Pot

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Ludovic Geilich opened to 500,000 in the cutoff and called the button's three-bet to 920,000. Geilech called leaving just 70,000 behind. As expected, Geilich moved in on the {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop and the button called.

Geilich's {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} was behind his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} but the {j-Clubs} turn gave both players the same full house. The chopped pot was confirmed on the {10-Spades} river.

Law Pushes Out Onisiforou

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Giorgios Onisiforou raised to 120,000 in the cutoff with {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Harry Law defended his big blind with {k-Spades}{9-Spades}.

The flop came {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{j-Spades} giving both players straight draws. Law check-called 110,000 from Onisiforou and the turn {7-Spades} improved Law to a flush.

He bet out for 135,000 and his opponent snap-folded.

Little Action to Discuss

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The action at the final table has slowed to a crawling pace with the pay jumps continuing to rise. No player wants to jeopardise their position with Ludovic Geilich propping up the leaderboard. The next payout is £21,550.
