Ebanks Busts Two

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

A player announced all in from middle position for 14,400 and action was folded around to Joe Ebanks in the small blind, who put a large enough reraise in to put Bob Nolen at a decision for his stack out of the big blind. Nolen decided to go with his hand, and all three players showed their cards.

Middle position: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Joe Ebanks: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Bob Nolen {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The dealer dealt the cards, and the board ran out {9-}{3-}{j-}{10-}{9-}, and Ebanks' sevens held to win the pot.

Bibb's Bullets Wrecked

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

We didn't see when the money went in, but Chris Bibb's {a-}{a-} was on the felt against a player with {k-}{k-}, which looked like a good situation as {10-}{4-}{6-}{5-} rolled off the deck. That is, until the {k-} hit on the end to send the pot his opponent's way.

Luckily for Bibb, he only paid out 7,100.

Zendt Finds Triple Up

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Phillip Zendt got his stack in with {j-Spades}{9-Spades} on a {j-}{9-}{2-} board versus {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}, who also got it in for a small side pot. The turn and river brought a {7-} and {10-}, and Zendt's two pair held up to secure the full triple.

Byrnes Wins Flip, Busts Player

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

A player raised preflop in early position to 2,600 and another player from middle position announced all in for 14,400. Action folded to Bill Byrnes on the button and after seeing the stacks of all players with cards still in front of them, announced he was all in. The original raiser thought for awhile and eventually folded.

Middle position: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Bill Byrnes: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The flop came out {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, giving Byrnes two overcards and the flush draw for live outs. The {q-Hearts} came on the turn, which was followed by the {6-Diamonds} on the river to give Byrnes the flush and send his opponent to the rail.

Snuffer Takes Down Pot with Turn Raise

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Action was joined on a {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Spades} board with Ricky Ali having bet 3,000 from the small blind that was called by the hijack. Iverson Cotton Snuffer put out a raise of 8,000 and Ali folded after some thought. The hijack folded quickly thereafter, and praised Snuffer for the raise.

Nick Pupillo
Nick Pupillo

Down to his last 5,100, Nick Pupillo stuck it in from the big blind with about 4,000 in the pot on {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. His opponent in middle position tanked over a minute then called with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. It was good against {j-Spades}{8-Spades} and Pupillo bricked the {q-Spades} river.

Friedman's Four-Bet Gets Through

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Adam Friedman opened the action with a raise to 1,500 from under the gun. Bob Nolen and James Pupillo called before the player on the button reraised to 6,500. Friedman thought for a few seconds before throwing several 5,000 chips into the pot, which was enough to make everybody fold.

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a completed board of {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, Dean Schultz bet 6,000 from middle position after an under-the-gun opponent checked to him. That player tossed in some calling chips after thinking a bit but he couldn't beat {a-}{k-}.

Ali Busts a Short Stack

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

A player in early position opened to 2,400 and Ricky Ali reraised to 8,300 from the button. A player called all in for less from the big blind and the original raiser folded after about a minute of thought. The player who was all in turned over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Ali tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. The board ran out {5-}{6-}{3-}{q-}{8-} and Ali collected the chips and the knockout.
