Davidson Down to a Nub

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

James Burns raised to 16,000 from under the gun, and Nick Davidson called in the cutoff. Mike Shin three-bet shoved for 100,000 on the button, and after Burns folded, Davidson tanked for a minute before calling, leaving himself 18,000 behind.

Mike Shin: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Nick Davidson: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Davidson couldn't catch jacks on an {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} board to leave himself with three big blinds. At the same time, Timothy Vance and Derek Schroeder busted at other tables, bringing the field down to 27.

The field is now redrawing for the final three tables. Stay tuned for an updated seat draw.

Rossitto Bluff-Shoves River, Sending Williams into the Tank

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Michael Rossitto
Michael Rossitto

Mike Rossitto ripped in his last 178,000, about the size of the pot, on a runout of {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Freddy Williams went into the tank for quite some time, counting down his own sizable stack and asking for a repeat of Rossitto's total, minutes after the jam.

He eventually pushed in the call.

Mike Rossitto: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Freddy Williams: {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Williams didn't find a fold with flopped trips, knocking Rossitto out of the battle.

Welko Loses a Flip

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Craig Welko
Craig Welko

Daniel Sepiol raised to 14,000 on the button, then called a three-bet shove from Craig Welko for 90,000.

Craig Welko: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Daniel Sepiol: {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Sepiol found an ace on the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop, and Welko found no seven on the {6-Hearts} turn or {10-Clubs} river to bust.

Jennings Portends His Doom

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Greg Jennings
Greg Jennings

Justin Coliny raised to 18,000 from middle position, and Greg Jennings shook Coliny's hand, then three-bet shoved for 55,000, much to the bemusement of the table. Action folded back to Coliny, who called.

Greg Jennings: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Justin Coliny: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Coliny's white-hot run continued after the {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop gave him a straight, and although Jennings turned a Broadway draw with the {k-Diamonds} turn, the {3-Spades} river left Jennings shaking hands again, this time before heading to the payout desk.

Cramer Crams Pre

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Spenser Cramer
Spenser Cramer

At risk and needing a double, Spenser Cramer was all in versus Stephen Song preflop and needed red cards or faces.

Spenser Cramer: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Stephen Song: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs} left Cramer drawing to three non-club jacks, and he began to stand up to leave as Timothy Vance chanted, "Jack! Jack!" from the other side of the table.

The {5-Spades} was of no help, but Cramer binked the {j-Diamonds} river for the nuts and sat back down.

Moon Falls to Williams

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Chris Moon
Chris Moon

Chris Moon three-bet shoved for 100,000 from the cutoff over an open from Freddy Williams in the hijack, and Williams called.

Chris Moon: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Freddy Williams: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Moon's quest for a second HPT title came to a close after a {4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} board left him dead on the turn.

Aces in Their Pockets

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Stephen Song opened to 12,000 when action folded to his button, and Brad Smith opted for a three-bet to 36,000 in the small blind. The big blind laid it down, and Song took his time before putting out a four-bet to 92,000. Brad Smith thought long and hard before five-betting to 205,000, leaving less than half that behind.

Song quickly six-bet shoved, and Smith snapped.

Brad Smith: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Stephen Song: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

The players pulled their chips back on a {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop and laughed it off.
