Patrick Eagers Eager to Keep Trophy on Home Soil as €1,150 Luxon Mystery Bounty Final Table Commences

Patrick Eagers
Patrick Eagers

The final table of the €1,150 Luxon Mystery Bounty at the 2025 Irish Open, sponsored by PokerStars and Paddy Power Poker, is set in stone. The record-setting field of 1,222 entries has been whittled down to eight players, who will return to the halls of the Royal Dublin Society at 1 p.m. local time to battle it out for the top prize of €102,600, the lion's share of the €595,725 prize pool.

The last Irishman standing is Patrick Eagers, who sits in the middle of the pack with 6,450,000 chips, worth 32 big blinds at the start of play. Eagers is a regular on the Irish circuit, playing almost exclusively in his home country, and has racked up no fewer than six tournament wins since 2023. Notably, Eagers has also cashed the Irish Open Main Event for three years in a row and is looking to extend his streak this year.

However, Eagers faces some stiff competition as regulars Nils Pudel (6,550,000), Fabian Rolli (6,550,000), Tobias Peters (5,200,000), and Florian Duta (4,625,000) have made their way to Day 4 as well, not to mention Nikolaos Angelou, who holds a dominating chiplead with a stack of 19,550,000, more than twice as much as his nearest contender Yannick Jobin, who will sit down with 8,100,000. The shortest stack belongs to Estonian Maksim Petrov, whose 4,000,000 equals exactly 20 big blinds.

Eagers is guaranteed his second-bet career cash, having locked up €12,280 for his final table appearance, while a spot in the top four would mean a new high score for him, and winning the tournament would double his total lifetime earnings. The mystery bounties for this event mirrored the cash payouts, and two of the five-figure bounties are still up for grabs for the final eight, including the second-biggest of €63,680, which might have interesting implications for all-in situations.

The cards go in the air at 1 p.m. local time, with one hand left to play with blinds at 100,000/200,000 with a 200,000 big blind ante. The next level will be 125,000/250,000 (250,000) and will last for 60 minutes, as will subsequent levels until the final three have been reached. At that point, the clock will be reduced to 40 minutes for the remainder of the tournament, which will also happen if a deal has been agreed upon with more than three players remaining.

PokerNews will be on the floor to report all of the final table action. Keep your eyes on this page to not miss any updates live from the Irish capital of Dublin.

Fabian Rolli raised to 500,000 in middle position, which Patrick Eagers called in the hijack. It folded to Nikolaos Angelou in the small blind, who shoved in his enormous pile of chips, putting the others all-in.

Rolli tanked for a while before committing a call for 8,250,000, while Eagers quickly got out of the way.

Nikolaos Angelou: J10

The 4697 turn gave Angelou a gutshot in addition to his pair outs, but the A river paired up Rolli instead, granting him a massive double-up.

He narrowly overtook Angelou in the counts, crowning him the new leader of the final table.
