Geleziunas Does Not Need to Show

The A♥ got exposed preflop when Tomas Geleziunas made it 400,000 to go from the button. Derek Baker defended the big blind, and the A♦4♠9♣ flop was dealt.

Baker check-called a 250,000 continuation-bet from Baker before both players checked the 6♣ turn.

The 9♣ river completed the board and Baker led out for 600,000 chips. Geleziunas laughed about the dead card situation and tossed in a call.

Baker's hand immediately hit the muck and the pot was shipped to Geleziunas without a showdown.

Tomas Geleziunas limped from the cutoff, John Hanaphy completed in the small blind and Derek Baker checked his option in the big blind.

The A♠5♣8♥ flop was checked through by all three players.

On the 2♠ turn, Hanaphy led out with a bet of 300,000, Baker folded and Geleziunas called.

The K♥ river was checked by both players. Hanaphy showed A♥10♣ causing Geleziunas to muck his hand.

After a period of only preflop raise-and-take-its, a flop was dealt when John Hanaphy raised to 500,000 from the small blind and Derek Baker made the call from the big blind.

The action was shortlived, however, as Hanaphy quickly check-folded to a 500,000 bet from Baker on the 9♣8♥5♥ flop, after which Baker showed the 8♣ to show off his pair.

Shean Lai raised to 325,000 from the hijack and Cathal Shine called from the cutoff. The action then folded to Marc MacDonnell in the big blind, who thought it over for a bit before jamming his stack of 3,825,000 in the middle.

Lai asked for a count and made the call shortly thereafter, while Shine got out of the way to create a heads up showdown.

Lai flopped a set on 10♠8♣4♦, leaving MacDonnell drawing very slim. The 7♠ turn destroyed all hope MacDonnell may have had left, and the 6♦ river was ceremoniously dealt while he said his goodbyes and headed to the payout desk.

Cathal Shine raised to 320,000 from the hijack before Barry McMahon three-bet to 1,800,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Shine, who four-bet jammed to put McMahon at risk for his stack of 2,125,000.

McMahon waited for the other table to finish their hand and put the few chips he left behind in the middle shortly thereafter.

McMahon was the first to hit a full house on the K♦6♥K♥K♣ runout, but Shine had the last laugh when the A♥ river gave him a better full house.

McMahon left the tournament in tenth place, while the other nine players brought their chips to the final table.
