Musacchia Refuses to be Pushed Around by Kulesza

Level 9 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Paul Fisher bet 4,500 from under the gun and was called by three players. Michal Kulesza took the opportunity to squeeze for 11,500. Fisher folded along with two others, but Mario Musacchia stuck around for the flop of {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades}

Kulesza continued for 8,500 and was called by Musacchia. The {7-Spades} was checked by both players, but Kulesza bombed the {9-Diamonds} river for 32,500. Musacchia mulled it over and casually tossed in a single chip for a call. Kulesza mucked his cards instantly and Musacchia only offered to show the {a-Spades} as he scooped a massive pot.

A couple of hands later Paul Fisher busted out of the tournament.

Lim Calls Off His Stack

Level 9 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Robert Lim
Robert Lim

With 17,000 in the middle on the {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board, Herve Bajon check-jammed for 60,000 from the big blind after Robert Lim bet 9,000 from middle position. Lim was covered and would be at risk of elimination if he called.

Lim writhed in his seat and replayed the hand several times out loud.

"I beat nothing," he said.

He called anyway and saw the bad news as his opponent turned over the {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a set of fours while Lim had top pair top kicker with his {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

The {k-Clubs} river was just a formality and Lim left the event.

Big Stacks Vujanic and Pustula Clash Before Dinner Break

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Tanja Vujanic in middle position bet 2,600 on {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and was called by big blind Jacek Pustula.

Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} turn, but Vujanic fired again when the {a-Clubs} fell on the river for 5,500. Pustula snap-called, Vunjanic rolled over {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a missed open-ender and Pulsuta's {a-} was enough to take the pot.
