Jorstad Gets Smoked

Level 10 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Espen Jorstad
Espen Jorstad

Espen Jorstad had gone all in for his final few blinds preflop from the small blind, being looked up by the big blind and Mihai Tabac in the hijack.

The big blind and Tabac had then built a side pot of around 175,000 when the Q549 turn was dealt. The big blind checked to Tabac, who made a bet of 160,000. This folded out the player in the big blind, leading to a showdown.

Espen Jorstad: K6 All in
Mihai Tabac: AQ

Jorstad needed a king to survive on this bullet, but the river came the 2 instead as he had to try his luck on the next one.

With around 250,000 in the pot on a 59K flop, the action checked to the cutoff, who fired 65,000. Paul Runcan folded, but Miad Shakiba came along.

The turn brought a 5 and both checked to the 3 river, where Shakiba threw out a red chip, worth 100,000, and announced a bet of 80,000. Within a second, the cutoff had called.

Shakiba then showed 99 for a full house, and his opponent mucked.

Three-way on a flop of 3K4, the action checked to Samuel Dray under the gun, who fired a bet of 40,000. Italo Modena then called in the small blind before the big blind made it 110,000 to go.

Dray called, but Modena had other ideas and piled in his stack of 460,000. Both the big blind and Dray tanked for a while, but they both ended up folding their cards.

Dray showed AK while doing so, which prompted Modena to table a Q from his hand.
